Ski Chalet in the Heart of the Catskills

Composed of modern luxuries and comforts, the Chalet is the perfect getaway for 1-2 couples, close friends, or a family looking to explore the Catskills. Just 10 mins to Belleayre Ski Mountain, 15 mins to Phoenicia, 30 mins to Woodstock, and 30 mins to Hunter/Windham Mountains, an abundance of hiking trails, ski resorts, and charming towns await you! Nestled in a peaceful wooded valley surrounded by mountains you can hear the murmur of the Esopus Creek from the back patio. Upon entering the chalet, you will be greeted by a cozy living room featuring a wood burning fireplace and record player. Complimentary firewood is provided to make your stay warm and relaxing. On the main floor you will also find a newly renovated kitchen complete with gas stove, coffee machine, and pantry staples (including s'mores supplies!). A full bathroom is also located on the main floor. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The Chalet features: - Private patio w/fire pit & grill - Roku 4K TV - Record player and Marshall Bluetooth speaker - Desk w/ WFH set up including up to 400 mbps Wi-Fi - Wood burning fireplace The chalet is for AirBnB guests only. Guests have exclusive access to the full house, parking, and outdoor areas. Big Indian is a quaint hamlet situated within the Catskill Mountains, with the Esopus Creek flowing through the area. The property is located 11 miles west of Phoenicia (15 min drive) and 17 miles west of Woodstock (30 min drive), with the nearest Ski Lodge located 12 minutes away (Belleayre Mountain Ski Center). The area is known for winter activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and ice skating. Summer activities including hiking, camping, swimming, zip lining, and biking. The Chalet has parking available for two cars in the driveway, with additional street parking available. A car is recommended for getting around the area. - Please note there is no cell phone service within a 10-minute driving radius from the property. We strongly recommend pre-downloading your maps/GPS, and enabling wifi-calling prior to your arrival - The chalet is WFH friendly; there is a strong wifi connection and a wireless keyboard & mouse available upon request. - Our property is located in a country setting and the water may have a slightly sulfuric smell from time to time. It is perfectly safe to drink, shower with, etc. A water filter is provided in the kitchen for your convenience as well.
