A beautifully presented spacious 5 bedroom home in the heart of the Devon countryside, only a 2 minute walk from shops, cafes and pubs. Tuckers Brook House is a large modern detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in the historic village of Modbury. The house was fully refurbished in 2019, including landscaped garden with outdoor dining. Each room is stylish, modern and has been professionally designed by an interior designer. Ground Floor: - Entrance hall with cupboard under stairs for coats and shoes. - Large king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, sink). Tea and coffee making facilities. (Bedroom 2) - Contemporary office with 2 large desks, office chairs, seating area and wi-fi printer. - Garage with gym equipment (weights + bench) and running machine with TV above. Also has storage for bikes etc. 1st Floor: - Large living room with L-shaped sofa, double sofa, armchair plus bench and footstool. Gas operated "log" burner. Wall mounted Smart TV (Netflix, Amazon etc), DVD player, CD player and media unit. - Large kitchen diner with seating for up to 8 people, microwave, double range cooker with 5-burner hob, kettle and Tassimo coffee machine. American-style fridge freezer. - Playroom/sitting room with TV, toys and games, plus a single sofa bed. (Bedroom 5) - WC with toilet and sink. 2nd Floor: - Master bedroom with superking bed (zip and link bed so can also be used as 2 singles). En-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, toilet, sink, bidet and separate shower cubicle. (Bedroom 1) - Large double bedroom. (Bedroom 3) - Single bedroom with office chair and sit-stand desk. (Bedroom 4) - Family bathroom with toilet, sink, and bath with shower over. Outside: - Driveway for one car to side of house, plus plenty of street parking. - Steps up to back garden, which is also accessible from the living room and kitchen. - Behind the house - large patio, outdoor dining and chairs for 6 people, brand new patio and sun deck. Completely private and not overlooked by neighbours. Swing seat and sun loungers with cushions provided. - Side garden - the patio area leads to a side garden, which consists of lawn with beautiful flowerbeds and has a children's slide. - There is also a communal garden at the bottom of the street, with some toys for young children. The house is in a very quiet cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. There are lovely shops, cafes and pubs in Modbury, all within a few minutes walk. There are lots of country walks from the house, with paths going through fields and rolling countryside with lovely views. You can even walk to the beach from the house (about 4.5 miles!). There's a local church, tourist information (limited opening), and children's playground. There's a small Co-op (2 mins walk), a very good butchers (Aune Valley), delicatessen, and gift shops. We'll leave plenty of maps, guide books, walk/cycle books and leaflets to help you plan your stay. There are some lovely walks from Modbury itself, ranging from 2 to 10 miles. You can also drive 15 minutes to the coast, or 20 minutes to Dartmoor National Park. The town of Ivybridge is 15 minutes away, and the waterfront city of Plymouth is 30 minutes away. To walk to the shops, walk to the bottom of the street and follow the pathway in the back left corner (behind the little play park). Turn right before the bridge, and the Co-op and Modbury high street are a couple of hundred metres away.
