A short- 15 min walk into centre of Ballan (or 2 min drive) where you can grab a glass of wine at the Wine & Deli Co, a coffee or a delicious meal at one of our many cafes, or even pop to the Ice cream and lolly shop in town. It’s the perfect place for your family to base themselves with enough room in the yard for the kids to let off some energy! A modern four bedroom, two bathroom home with fresh Hampton's style decor. You'll feel relaxed and right at home with our high quality crisp white bedsheets, plenty of cupboard space, a 900mm wide gas stove and electric oven and ducted gas heating throughout the house to keep you toasty on cold winter nights in our beautiful mineral springs region. A split system air conditioner in the living room and portable fans positioned in every bedroom help with climate control on hot summer days. Thoughtful and personal touches will remind you why you use Airbnb, rather than hotels. You'll find a raft of unique entertainment options to give you a laugh including a karaoke machine, board games and various wooden outdoor games (some good old fashioned entertainment!). We hope that you'll find complete comfort in your home away from home at Baylham Ballan. You will be able to park up to two cars in the driveway of the property. If you would like to walk into the centre of Ballan this is a 15 min walk, otherwise it’s a 2 min drive with plenty of parking in Ballan town centre. In the town centre, you will find the Ballan Train Station which has a V/Line bus and train connections which can take you everywhere from Geelong to Ararat, Daylesford to Melbourne and beyond. Ballan is a beautiful small town which has become a hive of activity over the past two years. Over the last two years we have had a gorgeous florist, several new boutique retail stores, a wine bar, a revamped “Ballan Great Western Hotel” which is owned and managed by the same people who own and manage the Farmers Arms in Daylesford. We’ve also got an ice-cream and lolly shop and we have a boutique art gallery that should be opening in 2022! So much to explore in our area, it truly is a wonderful place to base yourself when exploring Victoria. We are also lucky to have plenty of options for great coffee and brunch with two brilliant cafes (Tim Plate Cafe and Zest), we also have many takeaway food options for those evenings you can’t be bothered to cook with fish and chips, pizza and kebabs all on the menu and some great Chinese food available on Saturday’s at the Fish and Chip shop as well. Ballan also has a mineral springs which is a short drive from our home, whilst less famous than those in Daylesford or Hepburn, you can still enjoy the health benefits from drinking at this mineral spring on the way to Bostock, hey why not go for a fish or a peaceful walk afterwards! The kids might like to check out our three playgrounds in the centre of Ballan and one skate park which is next to the footy oval. If you’re looking to explore Victoria, you won’t find a better spot to base yourselves as we are 25 mins drive to Daylesford, 30 mins drive to Ballarat or under an hour drive to either Melbourne or Geelong. We also have a V/Line train station that is 15 mins walk from our house, the train takes around 50 mins to Melbourne or 25 mins to Ballarat. If you’re looking for something to do with your kids you’ll find plenty nearby with Kryal castle 18 mins drive away, Fairy Park 27 mins drive away, Sovereign Hill 26 min drive away and if you wanted to hand feed some Kangaroos you can do that at Ballarat Wildlife Park a mere 23 mins away! If you are a nature lover, we have some of the best day hikes and walks in Victoria nearby including the start of the Werribee Gorge Circuit track 18 min drive away and Bostock Reservoir less than 5 mins drive away with great fresh water fishing and nature walks for the whole family. Guests will not have access to the garage.
