The Old Bakehouse 2 a beautifully renovated, character cottage and the perfect place for a romantic getaway, family break, or for small group of friends to experience some time together in the stunning and tranquil Welsh countryside. Four adults can sleep here comfortably, or two adults and three children. It’s located in the heart of a picturesque hamlet, with beautiful views across the valley; trees and wildlife in abundance and within a 30/40 minute drive of many spectacular Welsh beaches. Pet friendly, the property was once the village flour mill and retains many unique features. From every window there are far reaching views across the valley. In the garden there is a pagoda with a huge HOT TUB for guests to use during their stay. The lawned garden area, patio and decking available for guests. Around the village itself, there are many beautiful walks which is great for people with dogs or those just wanting to get out to stretch their legs. There is also a fantastic river, the River Teifi, close by which is great for fishing as well as kayaking. We provide details for the local kayak club called Paddlers, which is based in Llandysul, just five miles away. They can offer great day children activities for a small fee each day. During your stay I am always contactable via phone and email and during certain times of the year, my sister, Donna will be available to meet and greet guests, show them around the property and be a point of contact should help be required There is an award winning village shop, run by volunteers just next to the church in Capel Dewi. It’s great for all the essentials, as well as offering many delicious homemade pies and cakes that are locally made. Dairy products, juices, eggs, bacon and other breakfast items are also available, along with other essential items. You can always ask about what local activities are happening while in the shop because they are informed of all the local events in the surrounding areas. You really need to have your own vehicle in this village because the local bus is on an order basis only. There are lots of beautiful walks around the village and leading towards the river Teifi or through fields and wooded areas. Off street parking is available for two cars. Guests staying in the Big Bakehouse (The Old Bakehouse Part One), may park on the driveway in front of the property. Guests staying in The Old Bakehouse Part Two May park on the driveway by the stone wall and garden. Hand towels are provided. Please bring your own bath towels.
