A treetop room on a park

My home is a large Victorian terrace, unusual for its size in the area. It is beautifully located right on a park, close to ferries and buses which gives direct access to the centre of Sydney. There is a little coffee shop across the road. The room offered is a large room with ample storage and a queen-size bed. The location is perfect for sightseeing and getting around the CBD. The house is very grand and there is lots of room to relax and chill out. The old-world charm makes it unique, with high ceilings, interesting furnishings and eclectic object d'art. Birchgrove is on the Balmain peninsula which is a very historic part of Sydney. The streets are narrow and the houses are a combination of terraces and workmen's cottages as it was originally settled for workmen at the docks and a coal mine that was here back in the 1800s. Now, this area is very trendy as it is close to the city and has a great vibe as it has lots of cafes, pubs, and parks. It also has a very distinct community where people look out for each other and there is a great social conscience. The 441 bus is a regular bus service from right outside the front gate. That is the easiest most economical way of getting into the city. there is another bus route only a 5-minute walk away. That bus service is 442. The train from the airport (AUD $18 one way) meets up with both these bus routes at QVB (Town Hall Station). You will need an Opal transport card to travel on Sydney transport. There is also a very convenient ferry stop at Long Nose Point and Balmain Thames Street (both are on the same service, Long Nose being one-stop further) which is a short walk to the house and a great way to see Sydney harbour. There is also a ferry service from East Balmain which services Barangaroo and Watson'sBay. Please note, potential guests, this is a non-smoking home so please no smoking anywhere on the premises.
