The home is set back from a quiet road that runs directly into Winchcombe. It isn't a very busy road. Being born and bread here, I often take for granted what our local little old Winchcombe has to offer, with all the golden Cotswold charm, traditionally a " working town " you will struggle to walk past any local without them catching your eye for a friendly tip of the hat good morning! I was brought up here and now run my own dog grooming business in the town. So as well as attracting visitors from far afield, the town supports some awesome thriving businesses for the locals and visitors, to benefit from. Having access to a car is essential in the Cotswolds as public transportation is generally quite limited and services are not terribly frequent. Parking in the nearby town of Winchcombe is possible at the short stay car park on Bull Lane as well as some free spaces for 2 hours outside The Plaisterers Arms. There is a bus stop near the house that will take you to Cheltenham and Broadway on the other side of the road. The GWSR Railway station will also take you to Cheltenham, Toddington and Broadway and makes an excellent day out for all to enjoy! The medieval Cotswold town of Winchcombe is only 15 minutes’ walk by foot with a range of amenities such as traditional pubs, restaurants, deli’s, coffee shops & tea rooms as well as a fantastic local farm shop locally that can deliver you fresh produce ahead of your stay. There are also some lovely clothing boutiques, art galleries and antique shops. Winchcombe also has a medium sized Co-op supermarket for shopping during your stay (2 mins drive). The GWR vintage steam railway has a station here with great links through to Cheltenham and Broadway. There is a full calendar of annual events at Sudeley Castle with some great days out for all the family and the Great Western Railway (GWR) nearby such as vintage car shows, festival of lights and food & drink festivals. Winchcombe is ideally located in the heart of the Cotswolds to explore major villages & towns such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, The Slaughters, Broadway and Chipping Campden as well as attractions such as Adam Hensons Farm Park, Birdland, Crocodiles of the World and much, much more!
