Light, spacious bedroom, tastefully decorated. Cupboard with hanging space and shelves. Bedside cupboard for storage. An antique comfy chair. Comfortable double bed. Opposite the bathroom, but private as it’s set towards the back of the house. If desk is needed there is space for a large one. Guests are more than welcome to use the lounge area as well as the kitchen. In the summer we’re more than happy for them to make themselves at home in the garden as well. We really like people to feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. If there is anything that they would like to do or ask, we would welcome requests or enquires and would accommodate it to the best of our ability. We are 5 minutes by car from the centre of Winchester and 10 by bus, busstop across the road from our house. The Railway station is 5 minutes by car as well. Ample buses traveling to and from this area to neighbouring villages and cities We are very happy to have guests use the kitchen and cupboard and fridge space. We’d like them to ask if they need help or information about just about anything, touristy or otherwise. If necessary we’d be happy to collect them at the station or drop them there if possible. If you have any allergies or specifically for feathers or down, please mention it to us and we will give you alternative bedding and pillows. Laundry Cottage was built in the early 1600’s and the newer part of the house attached to the cottage used to be outside Laundries that did the surrounding Manor House and cottages, Laundry. This part was attached to the cottage in the 1800’s. Winchester is the first Capital of England and a wonderfully historic city boasting a beautiful Cathedral and historical ruins and buildings. We have the most fabulous coffee shops and restaurants in Winchester. There are wonderful scenic walks in and around Winchester as well. There is also a charming small cinema in town. The Bus (Spring) bus stop is just outside our gate. Regular bus service every 20 minutes into Central Winchester which takes 8 - 10 minutes. Walking into town takes between 20-30mins. There is also a cycle path all the way to town We are 5 minutes by car from the centre of Winchester and 10 by bus, the bus stop is across the road from our house. The Railway station is 5 minutes by car as well. We are 5 minutes walk from a great farmstall called The Good Life that serves meals etc. 8 minutes walk from a restaurant style pub, The Cart and Horses, Kingsworthy, which serves fabulous meals as well. We have a lovely cat who likes people.
