The owners have encouraged a variety of wildlife to their field and garden, including badgers, deer, foxes and an array of birds such as spotted and green woodpeckers. The historic town of Devizes is nearby with its famous canal and many locks. Market day is every Thursday and is well worth a visit. The World Heritage sites of Stonehenge, Avebury and Bath are all less than an hour away, and there are so many National Trust sites in the area that visitors are spoilt for choice. For the more adventurous, there is even a gliding club on the outskirts of the village. Steeple Ashton is 2¾ miles away with shop, and pub serving food. Shop 2¾ miles, pubs/restaurants 1½ miles.
