Modern Luxe Miner Shack in Madrid

Enjoy a modern space in downtown Madrid in an historic Miner Shack! You can walk to the restaurants, galleries, coffee shop, live music…in 1 minute from your place. There are also 2 patios for you for stargazing and hanging outside with a firepit! It’s centrally located between Santa Fe (20 minutes) & Albuquerque (45 minutes). It’s a 5 minute drive to hiking, biking and Mountain Views. (Please note: this Airbnb is in the village of Madrid as your map shows, not Los Cerrillos). This modern remodel of a 1900s Miner Shack building in Madrid has an open studio vibe. Madrid is an old mining town now occupied by artists, 20 minutes south of Santa Fe. It's a bright & airy space with high ceilings and a loft with a little workspace, meditation area or art making spot. The furnishings are modern, stylish and comfortable. The queen bed has 100% white cotton bedding and feels like you're sleeping on a cloud. The white plaster bathroom is stocked with natural shampoo, conditioner & body wash. There is a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. There are 2 patios-the side patio has a big table (seats 6) if you have friends or family over for dining. There’s a firepit for fireside chats & gatherings. The front patio is great for people watching. The windows and doors are new - so great climate control in the apartment. We are artists and own a gallery too so the walls are lined with local artwork. There is a FireTV and WiFi and AC. There is also a washer and dryer. Madrid is an old coal mining town that is now an arts colony with a very colorful culture for such a small town. In Spring, Summer & Fall it’s very lively with art openings & live music, busy galleries and restaurants. Come winter it quiets down quite a bit as it’s the off season for visitors. There’s a lot to see enjoy in our little village…all from an old Miner’s Shack we remodeled with love. It's a totally walkable village-1 minute walk to restaurants, cafes, galleries, coffee shop, store, chocolatier etc...
