Snug (4ft bed with award winning Emma mattress) double room with a view in an 18th Century cottage in Fence, Pendle. Close to Clitheroe, Whalley, Barley, Colne, Burnley, Rawtenstall, Edenfield, Helmshore, Ramsbottom. Shared shower room with Grohe shower. Tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can help themselves to cereal and toast. Cotton sheets and towels. Smart Sony TV/Netflix. Clean & tidy. The room is snug and ideal for individual travellers but can accommodate 2 people for short stays. Cosy cottage with lots of character and contemporary furnishings. Quaint courtyard for relaxing in on a sunny day and lovely view on to open fields. A set of keys provided to come and go as you please. On road parking and safe storage for bicycles in my lean to. Live in host. I am friendly, easygoing and am versatile to guests' needs so I am happy if you wish to chat or wish your own space. I work from home 3 days and commute to Manchester 2 days a week. Fence retains the village charm and has amazing views of Pendle Hill. There is a community feel within the village, it boasts a Michelin Restaurant (White Swan), The Fence Gate Inn (nice Sunday roasts), The Sparrowhawk, Post Office/convenience store (with homemade pies, sandwiches etc.), hair dressers/beauticians. Close to the historic towns Clitheroe, Waddington, Whalley, Pendle, Higham, Barrowford, Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom which have an abundance of independent shops and a good variety of traditional cosy pubs, trendy eateries/bars, coffee/tea rooms. Walking and cycling routes start from my doorstep with Pendle Hill and a number of country parks within easy travelling distance. Manchester, Bury and Bolton with their large array of designer shops and trendy eateries are accessible by car or public transport from Rawtenstall. This would make an ideal choice for singles/couples looking for a relaxing stay and the perfect base for cyclists, walkers, or wanting a quick stay over to attend Weddings etc. Local buses to Clitheroe. Ideally you need a car to get to nearby locations. There is a X43 bus from Rawtenstall every 20 mins to Manchester. Universal phone charger/stand provided in your room
