Relax in this comfortable rental perfect for large groups of family, friends, and adventurers wanting to experience a friendly, local beach town. Includes four condos to sleep up to 16 people, a generator, and a cistern. Walk to the beach and relax, grab food & drinks, walk/bike the trail at the Cerro Gordo National Park, and relax while hanging out in the amazing outdoor patio space! Take day trips to Old San Juan, El Yunque to the east, Isabela to the west, & the center of the island. Come stay at the Hidden Gem! Only 45 min from the SJU airport (can be as short a drive as 35 min but time depends on traffic in SJ). We are centrally located on the north coast in Vega Alta. Escape and enjoy this comfortable property located in a great, friendly, local’s beach community. It is calm and peaceful during the week and has a great, fun atmosphere on the weekends and holidays. Located on a relaxed cul-de-sac. Great for a chill beach vacation. Walk about 150 yards to the beach. Snorkeling with our sea turtles at Cerro Gordo beach is a must! Plan day trips to Viejo San Juan (Old San Juan) or El Yunque (the rainforest) in the East or to Manati (Mar Chiquita), Isabela (Playa Jobos), and Arecibo (for Cueva del Indio or skydiving) in the West. Stay in the middle of the north coast and adventure all over the island! **As of 1 March 2022, it will be FOUR condos and will sleep up to 16 people. 8 bedrooms total, 4 bathrooms total. Condo #1 - 1 queen, 2 twins Condo #2 - 1 queen, 2 twins Condo #3 - 1 queen, 2 twins Condo #4 - 1 king, 1 queen Total - 1 king, 4 queens, 6 twins You will have the whole building/property to yourselves. We are moved down the road (less than a mile) and will still be in the neighborhood because we absolutely love it here! Your large group can be together and still have some separate space! No one sleeps in bunk beds or pull out couches! All four condos include WiFi, a Roku television with Netflix, games, and a fully-stocked small kitchen perfect for vacation. Beds have 2-inch memory foam toppers for your comfort. A desk is available in each of the first three condos (#1,2,3) as a workspace and/or vanity. Each condo has full-length mirrors, hooks for towels, closets in both bedrooms, luggage racks, and more. You have access to the covered patio with outdoor dining tables, lounge chairs, griddle, string lights, bar, TV, and more. Kick back, enjoy, hang out, play games, and have an amazing vacation. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach bags, coolers, and more are included! Just bring your personal items and enjoy a relaxing beach vacation! Adventure all over the island from here! A rental car is a must so you can get around and adventure! It is an amazing island with many exciting, fun experiences. SUGGESTION: Use “Balneario Cerro Gordo” as your location in G maps to determine distance to the places you want to visit. Enjoy the neighborhood wildlife including coqui frogs (small tree frogs), iguanas, chickens, horses, and parrots on occasion! Puerto Rico is a lively island so expect to hear music from nearby restaurants/bars/cars, fireworks (depending on the time of year), beach celebrations, ice cream vans, announcements from a pastry car, and more. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are security cameras on the premises. All cameras are outside (property entrance, stairs/balcony, and outdoor areas). There are no cameras inside the condos. The beach, a couple bar/restaurants, and slot machines are all walkable (or a very short drive) from the Hidden Gem. The area is very relaxed and people enjoy hanging out and having a drink with friends. At night, the street lights along the beach are red to protect sea turtle nesting areas. Bright white lights confuse recently hatched baby sea turtles! It is a short drive (10-15 min) into Dorado for lots of additional restaurant options. There is a convenience store and several grocery stores within a 10-15 min drive so you can take advantage of the large griddle! Free designated parking is available in front of the building. Three parking spaces are available for your use. If you have a really large vehicle (like a 15 passenger van) you may park across several parking spaces as needed for your purposes. Do not block the vehicle driveway/gate. The building is on stilts so guests will need to walk up some stairs. The covered patio is on the ground floor. Two condos are on the first floor and the third and fourth condos are on the second floor. We just recently moved offsite, and are less than 3 min away! We love this area and decided to stay in the neighborhood. You might see us next-door hanging out with the neighbors, come to water the plants, etc. We do reserve the ability to park at the property if needed. You can taxi or Uber to this location from the airport, but once you are here you will want/need a car. There is a taxi service out of Dorado that can be used. There are rental car locations in Dorado if you have any trouble getting one at the airport (often cheaper rates). We provide many consumables to help get your vacation off to a great start. These include shampoo and conditioner, garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and more. We do not provide unlimited amounts of consumables. It is your responsibility to review what is at the property upon arrival and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay. **If our golf cart or scooter is onsite, it is only for owners' use.**
