Bay Watch Cottage, tranquility on the Bay of Fundy

Amazing location on a quiet road, on the Bay of Fundy. Breathtaking sunset views from the large deck & sunroom. Unwind and relax. Bay Watch cottage is a cozy, century home, centrally located to many of New Brunswick's attractions. Perfect for families, couples and weekend getaways. Walking to nearby beach to search for sea glass, sand dollars, hermit crabs. *Saint John 35 mins *St. Andrews by the Sea 45 mins *Natural Spa Chance Harbor 15 min *New River Beach 15 min *Hopewell Rocks 2.5 hours The Bay Watch Cottage north west facing porch & front 3 season sun room has one of the most beautiful views in the area. Relaxing and unplug while you watch the sunsets and tide roll in and out. This is also a great spot for bird watching, and catching a glimpse of seals, porpoises and even the occasional shark. Just steps down the road is a tidal basin that empties during low tide. The main floor consists of a sunroom, stocked with games and puzzles. This is the perfect space to reconnect, create memories, relax, or get in a sunrise yoga session. Access to both the kitchen and living room from the sunroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, complete with full size fridge/freezer, microwave and oven with stove top. Living room has a pull out sofa and a office corner with desk and office chair. The dining room is located off the kitchen and provides stunning ocean views. There is a half bath with washer and dryer, also located on the main floor. A drying rack and washing line are also available. Upstairs provides 3 cozy bedrooms, each with clothing storage. Bedroom 1 & 2 have queen beds, while bedroom 3 has two single beds. The full bathroom is equipped with a stand up shower, soaker tub and double vanity. Large 2 acre yard and cottage. We will be available by phone or text, and want your stay to be as comfortable as possible. We have a property manager who will be available locally for assistance. Maces Bay is an old fishing village, with beautiful coastal views. The area is safe and quiet. There is a small gas station within 2km, and a larger Irving Grab & Go Convenience + NB Liquor, located 3.2km away. Myrtle's Pizza is a local favorite for take out and eat on the cottage deck, or head to the Bay Breeze in Pocologan for east coast fare on their ocean front patio in a casual setting. Head down the street at low tide to a family & dog friendly beach to search for sea glass, sand dollars and hermit crabs. The basin peninsula is a great place for a short walk, or to launch sea kayaks, and bird watch. Bald eagles nest annually on the islands, and often fly over head. Parking is available on site for up to 4 vehicles. Maces Bay is located along the NB scenic coastal route and is a favorite for motorcyclists, road bikers and those looking for scenic drives. Easy access to ATV, off road bikes, snowmobile and mountain bike trails. The Bay of Fundy is a destination for sea kayakers, with access points steps from the cottage. Paddle up the coast or inland up the river. There is a local beach and provincially owned peninsula within walking distance of the cottage. Maces Bay is located with an hour or many New Brunswick tourist destinations: New River Beach, St. Andrews, St. George, St. Martin's, including the Ferry Terminal to Grand Manan & Deer Island. Parking is generally easy to find and is free, with the exception of downtown Saint John. Firewood and an outdoor fire place is available for guest to use.
