PALM GROVE RAINFOREST RETREAT w SPA - WHITSUNDAYS

Enjoy the exclusive use of this luxury holiday retreat nestled on 150 acres of pristine Whitsunday rainforest. Centrally located between Proserpine and Cannonvale the hand built stone cottage has been thoughtfully styled to invoke tranquility and connection, with comfortable furnishings and repurposed timbers crafted throughout. Surrounded by fruit trees with gazebo and spa, the retreat offers complete privacy for romancing, re-connecting and decompressing in a peaceful private sanctuary. The retreat offers an outdoor spa nestled under a gazebo overlooking the valley. A queen bed lays in a large open bedroom, with bathroom to one side and laundry conveniently hidden along the back wall. A handcrafted coffee table and couch sit at the end of the room, beside French doors which lead out to the gazebo hosting hammock, spa, table and seating. Large windows frame the view through to the private tropical garden. The main living area features full open plan kitchen overlooking the rear garden hosting butlers sink, island cook-top and a full range quality amenities. Vintage dining table and large couch span across a feature wall of repurposed fallen rainforest timbers with wide screen television for movie watching on lazy days. Air-conditioned throughout, large windows surround the space allowing the cooling breeze to flow. With views from every angle a printers desk completes the bespoke furnishings tucked neatly beside the entrance to the front garden. Outside you will find sun loungers overlooking the banana plantation where you can lay watching the native bird life whilst enjoying the serenity. A stroll down to the creek passes an organic vegetable garden. Guests are encouraged to pick a few seasonal offerings to enjoy with their meals. To the rear of the cottage you will find an expansive lawn from which to enjoy the magic and brilliance of the night sky. The private rainforest walk invigorates the spirit with giant fig trees adorning old growth forest abundant in native flora an fauna. Our friendly chickens provide fresh organic eggs for guests and freely range the property. From time to time you may hear them rustling in the gardens. Exclusive access to the property is found via the private driveway which leads up to the cottage with plenty of space for parking. The entrance is via the front garden which overlooks the banana plantation and hosts the gazebo to one side. We are relaxed and easy hosts. We're happy to assist in any way - whether it be to advise on must see's, excellent eateries or wonderful experiences in the area. We live on the neighbouring property which is also hidden completely from view via an expansive orchard and a row of gorgeous Black Sapote tree's. In keeping with the ethos of the retreat your privacy is guaranteed - unless you connect with us, when we'd be delighted to help. The retreat is hidden near the top of a stunning valley. Driving past the turn off to the famous Cedar Creek Falls you will pass mass plantings of Lemon Myrtle enjoying the rainforest and valleys views as you wind your way up and over the creek crossing onto our property. It is this drive that captured our hearts - and had us cheekily ask if the property was for sale. We are rurally located just 20-minutes from Proserpine and Cannonvale/Airlie Beach alike. Guests will require a car, which can be hired from the Whitsunday/Proserpine Airport, or locally in Cannonvale. Alternately, a taxi service runs throughout the region, with a Limousine service available for Elopements and special occasions. Parking is found at the top of the driveway next to the cottage. We provide bicycles for those who wish to meander along the valley - there is much to enjoy when taking the time to wander. You will find the retreat centrally located to Cannonvale and Proserpine, just a 20-minute drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) - the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Cedar Creek Falls is just down the road with Conway boat ramp nearby. Walking tracks and mountain bike trails are accessed via the nearby Conway circuit in the adjoining Conway National Park. Fresh provisions can be purchased in Proserpine, Cannonvale or Airlie Beach. For those wishing for the cottage to be stocked pre-arrival, deliveries can be organised through The Prickly Pineapple Online Store, where you will find an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, deli items, delicious salads and pre-prepared meals. We highly recommend this service. Well trained obedient pets are welcome. Please contact us at the time of booking. Pet Policy: We respectfully request that pets are not allowed inside the retreat. (Small non-shedding breeds may be accepted upon approval). Pets are allowed on retreat grounds, with a fenced sleeping area (situated directly outside the bedroom for close connection to owners) provided under the enclosed gazebo. Please bring bedding for your pet. We provide a water bowl, and ask that droppings are disposed of in the bags provided. Any hair or footprints found on furniture or bedding, or any extra cleaning required due to pets will incur an extra cleaning fee. Any damage incurred is to be repaired at the owners expense. Please note: our friendly chickens range the grounds freely, and from time to time may graze the retreat grounds. We kindly request that pets are kept in the spa area when not supervised. The location on the map speaks for itself.... uninterrupted views, butterfly trees to entice the butterflies and in turn an array of bird life. They welcome pets and with nearby creeks to explore it offers so much to enjoy with them. Relaxing spa bath which was sparkling clean and on and waiting for us on arrival. Easy instructions for all appliances, which were all of high quality and working well. Local info for exploring nearby and supporting other local businesses which we love doing.
