This historic mill cottage is situated in a peaceful village with stunning nature and wildlife. In the Derbyshire countryside on the edge of the Peak District. The area offers ancient woodlands, canal side walks, hiking and great local pubs and restaurants. 2 Bedroom cottage 1 super king, 1 double 1x bathroom Living area + TV (BT Sport, Disney +, fast WiFi) Kitchen Relaxing garden ( fire pit, bbq, cushions) Free private parking. Dog friendly Pet fee of £10 per pet per night This cute cottage was built in the early 1700s. Renovated to the highest standard including a cozy lounge with a log burner, fully equipped country kitchen with up to date appliances. One very spacious bathroom with large bathtub and power shower. Two spacious bedrooms, 1 king on the third floor and 1 double bed on the second floor both overlooking the garden and beautiful hills. Small garden with wood benches and cushions, fire pit, pizza oven with prep area, BBQ and dog gate to keep your pet safe from running onto the road. Off street parking can fit up to two large vehicles. Guest have access to the whole cottage and garden area. Sleeps 4 comfortably. The cottage: Lounge with solid wood flooring, large sofa couch and large chair, a wood barrel table with two bar stools, log burner. Books, TV with firestick, cable and BBC access, firestick apps include, (BT Sport, Disney Plus, BBC I Player, Netflix *ask to sign into your own account*, All 4 ect.) and free high speed wifi. Closet under the stairs for shoes, luggage bags, broom, mop and portable radiator. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for in home cooking, fridge *fresh milk and butter provided*, dish washer *washing tabs providedf*, flat top stove and oven, kettle, toaster and french press. Tea, coffee *ground and instant* and sugar provided. Cleaning product also provided if young children are staying please let us know so we can put these out of reach. Very spacious bathroom on the second floor. Large bathtub, shower with power shower. Individual hair shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. 4 towels and 4 hand towels located in the cabinet. Please be aware taking a bath will deplete the hot water recommend showers if there's multiple people. Second floor bedroom has double bed, large wardrobe with coat hangers, beautiful views, hard wood floor, book shelf with magazines and games. Portable AC unit in wardrobe. Third floor bedroom has a super king bed, large wardrobe with coat hangers, tall and short chest of drawers. Desk with mirror and stool. Hairdryer in desk. Stunning views of the garden and surrounding hills. Ironing board, iron and portable fan in wardrobe. Parking is on the large grass area under the trees off the street. Parking for Post Office Cottage located on gate. Dogs are very welcome. No restrictions on where they can go in the house. We do ask for you to clean up after them outside and if you're relaxing in the garden please close the dog gate. Cottage not suitable to very young children or infants as we don't provide any amenities for them. If you are okay with this you are welcome to stay. Self check upon arrival for guests. Cassandra my wife help guests on arrival if needed via phone and will remain available via phone (call or text) when needed. Otherwise the house is yours to relax and enjoy. Very walkable area for hiking, going to the pub biking. Car recommended to get to Matlock or Matlock Bath We have a bus stop right accross the street or a short drive to the train station. Taxi's service also available We ask for a £10 honesty fee per dog per night. Please pay by bank transfer before your stay. The cottage has an oil boiler to heat the house and heat the water. This needs to be preset to come on twice a day, morning/ evening. Please provide us with your preferred timings *recommend 2 hours in the morning 30 minutes before you wake up and 2 hours at night*. Please be aware taking a bath will deplete all the hot water. Bags of logs can be purchased from us in advanced or you can purchase them from the store if you prefer. We order from a local farmer 10kg bags for £6.50 *kindling, firelighters and lighter provided*.
