This exceptionally comfortable and spacious 19th-century barn is peacefully situated in rural countryside. Beamed throughout, it enjoys a courtyard setting adjacent to the owners’ home. An ideal hideaway from life’s hustle and bustle, or relax in front of the woodburner after a day of walking and exploring this stunning part of the British Isles. The property enjoys its own enclosed garden and has access to a beautiful woodland walk which is signposted and accessed over a stream and via a wooden bridge. This lovely area has much to offer the visitor – there are amenities in Tavistock, Okehampton and Launceston. Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the sandy beaches of north Cornwall are all easily accessible. Water sports and fishing at Roadford Lake, 5 miles and golf is available nearby. There is a village shop, many renowned restaurants within 20 minutes’ drive and two pubs within 2 miles. Free WiFi There is a fenced stream in the grounds. An initial basket of fuel, kindling and firelighters for the solid fuel stove is provided free, thereafter it is offered at cost from a small stall next to the cottage with an honesty box for payment. Small children under 3 accepted but please bring your own cot. The owner lives next door and is always there to greet guests. A Devon cream tea will be laid out in the cottage kitchen ready for your arrival. Fuel and electricity costs included in holiday price. Local farm eggs and other produce is also sold in the stall when available and the small profit generated from these is collected and sent in support of the Ukrainian people.
