Recently bought by a lovely German family, they've done a lot of work on what was already a building with great bones. Renovating and refurbishing, they have created a holiday home which they themselves are eager to use on occasion, without every sacrificing the Sicilian character. In the heart of the historical centre of Porticello, a few steps from the sea. Porticello is a clean, welcoming seafront village, rustic but well-maintained, the perfect destination for all those who want to observe something of the real Sicily, without sacrificing the chance to sample the beautiful sea and driving hours inland. Here, as well as the nearby vibrant metropolis of Palermo, reachable in 15 minutes from the nearby train station, you will plenty of local attractions which are no less rewarding to explorers. The archaeological area of Solunto is a superb site with sumptuous views, and the neighbouring town of Bagheria is known as “the city of villas” Bagheria. Olivia is a two level apartment on the first and second floor of a town house in the centre of Porticello. On the first floor is a large living room with a balcony, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a very spacious shower. The living room contains a modern, comfortable sofa bed (about 160cm wide) to expand the sleeping capacity, and a large dining table with some beautiful chairs. The balcony partially overlooks the harbour of Porticello. Heading up the open staircase you will find a pair of double bedrooms, one of which is set up for use as a home office. Of course this flat is also equipped with air conditioning, central heating, satellite TV and free fast wi-fi. It is just 500m from the nearest public beach and 800m from the nearest train station at Santa Flavia. From here you'll find everything from the centre of Palermo and its airport to the rest of Sicily within easy reach.
