Distances: 8.5 km Tellaro, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, 3 km the sandy beaches of San Terenzio, 20 km Portovenere and the Island Palmaria. The historic center of the port town of La Spezia, with its lively streets is well worth a visit: Palace De Nobili, Castle of St. George. On the first Sunday in August a traditional, exciting rowing competition (Palio del Golfo) between 13 hand built boats. In the first week of October, the spectacular Marine Festival “Festa della Marineria” with historical craft takes place. Every year in August the famous local event "Pitei cantina" is celebrated, where it is possible to taste traditional specialties among the various wineries located in the town.
