The impressive High Tatras belong to the most beautiful and highest mountains in Slovakia and are part of the Carpathians. The highest point is 2,600 meters above sea level. The holiday resort consists of two adjacent buildings, a main building and an annex. The distance between the buildings is 50 meters. In the main building you will find a reception desk with currency exchange service, safe, souvenir shop, ski and bicycle rental, gym, sauna, restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast (order) and a play area for children. At the reception you can make reservations for golf, tennis, massage, hairdresser, excursions and other services. Near the reception area there is a bar with a terrace. Thanks to its convenient location, the holiday resort is within easy reach by car, bus or train. The closest ski slope is less than 400 meters away and 1200 meters away there is the famous Tatranská Lomnica ski resort with the highest and simultaneously longest slopes in Slovakia. The living room has a pull-out sofa bed (for 2 persons), a coffee table, TV, SAT, radio and an open kitchen. The kitchen is simple but efficiently furnished, including a refrigerator, 2-burner stove and kitchen utensils. In the bedroom there is a double bed and a single bed. There is a bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink and a hall with a wardrobe. The apartments are centrally heated. Let's start with the HighTatra National Park itself. This most impressive park is one of the finest treasures of Slovakia and is freely accessible and offers a wide range of varied cycling and hiking trails through a beautiful countryside, with panoramic views and an unforgettable experience. You can take a cable car from Tatranska Lomnica to the third highest point in Slovakia- Lomnicky Stit (2633 m asl). In Tatranská Lomnica (800 m) there is an outdoor and indoor tennis court, football field, volleyball court, mini-golf and a cinema. You can also visit the botanical garden or the Museum of the Tatra National Park. 300 meters away there is a shop. Only 400 meters from the holiday resort you can enjoy plenty of winter fun on a small slope with a ski lift. For experienced skiers there is a ski resort (1200 m) with the highest and longest slopes in Slovakia, with steep slopes. The chairlift takes you to an altitude of 2200 meters and from there you can go down towards your accommodation. There are also several lifts for beginners, with a simple terrain, ski schools and private lessons. There is a natural ice skating rink as well. In the immediate vicinity you can find several ski centers. At about 6 km there is a 27-hole golf course set in a picturesque area. In the background the mountains of Tatra offer a unique sight. Besides biking and hiking (from easy terrain to challenging routes), you can also go climbing in the mountains. Although the trails are well marked, it is not recommended to set off without basic equipment such as maps, sufficient food and warm clothing. Due to the varied weather conditions in the mountains, that are subject to frequent change, it is also recommended that you inform the reception staff about your trip.  For families with children or water lovers there are at least two aqua parks (water facilities) within driving distance: Poprad Aqua City (15 km) and Vrbov (16 km). Poprad Aqua City has a total of 13 indoor and outdoor thermal and relaxation pools, including children's pools, plus playgrounds and spa and wellness facilities. Pamper yourself with a massage. In the Vrbov thermal pool you can enjoy up to 10 pools, 4 of them are children´s pools. The average temperature of the water varies between 28 and 36 degrees. Without a doubt, the thermal water will have beneficial effects on your body.  For culture lovers there are numerous possibilities, such as: various caves, the city ofLevoca (40 km) and St. Jacob church with its famous Gothic altar, the highest in the world (18.26 m). The altar was made of lime wood in the 16th century. Then there is the Spišský hrad medieval castle ruins, one of UNESCO´s World Heritage sites. And in the nearby village of Ždiar you can admire the beautifully painted wooden houses and castles, palaces and monasteries in the vicinity.
