Set in almost a hectare and located in the Perigord Vert National Park it certainly lives up to the “haven of peace” description. Where we are: Connecting Limoges (60km) to the North and Perigueux (45km) to the South the N21 road runs through some of the most attractive countryside in the Dordogne. Turning off this road and driving just 5km through winding country lanes will bring you to the hamlet of Puyrigaud where you will find Havre de Paix (haven of peace), though deep in the countryside the property is within easy reach of the many small towns and villages nearby offering all things French! Havre de Paix offers space to simply relax and enjoy lazing, or there's nearby cycling and walking trails for the more energetic. A wide and varied range of lovely villages and small towns are waiting to be explored, most with cafes and restaurants and all within easy reach – so self-catering needn't be compulsory!.......though an evening barbecue at home with a glass of wine under the star-studded sky could be a memory to treasure. The French way of life can be lived fully in this region. Local wines and cheeses, bread, meats, vegetables, fish, poultry - all available from the many nearby markets......and of course......reasonably priced restaurants abound.....a very good lunch with wine can still be found for well under 20 euros each.
