A hidden gem nestled in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Nestled on the hillside in the Newland Valley Estate. Access via the stunning Tan House Newland. Come and stay in our delightful hillside retreat. A comfortable hideaway in the magical Forest of Dean. This listing is for a 3 bed exclusive bungalow. There is also the option of a sofa bed in the living room. We have separate listings for the 5 bedroom garden wing in Tan House and our Glamping offerings. We may be able to offer flexibility on check in and check out times. Please feel free to enquire. Pets by request. Please keep them on a lead outside as many areas are unfenced and there are small and young livestock next door. Please note there is an unfenced pond in the garden and unfenced springs and brooks through the garden and adjoining land. For this reason, please be very careful with children, animals and anyone with mobility issues. We advise arriving by car and have plenty of parking. We are always available. We live on the outskirts of Newland, a small village surrounding the stunning Cathedral of the Forest (All Saints Church) The church and pub (The Ostrich) are within walking distance. There was once an oak barn tannery at Tan house with both a bark and corn mill, powered by the Valley brook. It was one of two tanneries on the Valley brook. Tan house has been a B&B for over 40 years and sits in the perfect spot amongst 20 acres. We are happy to enhance your stay with catering packages and local recommendations. We live on the edge of Newland village and kindly ask guests to be mindful of our neighbours on arriving and leaving. For this reason, we also request no acoustic music or loud noise outdoors.
