Dining area: With beams. Kitchen area: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, Freeview TV and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 2: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request) and Freeview TV. Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. Use of owners’ washing machine. No smoking. . The Coach House is a spacious, detached barn conversion that has been thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished to give guests a fantastic stay. The Coach House, located in the pretty village of Cuxham, has kept many original features including exposed beams, exposed stone, brickwork and lovely windows. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is very sociable and spacious. French doors lead onto the south west facing enclosed garden complete with flower beds, a patio and a good-sized lawn boasting beautiful views of Oxfordshire. This is a perfect getaway for all the family, including the dog, friends and couples wanting a relaxing stay, a sightseeing break or a walking and cycling holiday in a stunning part of Oxfordshire. The Coach House is situated on a working farm where they rear cattle and grow crops, with the friendly owners living in the farmhouse adjacent to the property. The owners occasionally host events on the farm including a Christmas market and shoots. The farmhouse has even featured in episodes of Midsomer Murders, along with the nearby ancient south Oxfordshire market town of Watlington. The town of Watlington, which sits at the foot of the Chilterns, is steeped in history and offers many independent delicatessens and shops. The Chiltern countryside is waiting to be explored by foot or bike where you will be treated to magnificent views of the Thames Valley and South Oxfordshire. Approximately 1½ miles from Watlington is Watlington Hill, a National Trust chalk grassland site which is a fantastic area to spot red kites and butterflies including the silver-spotted skipper. For more wildlife watching, the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve is close by. For railway enthusiasts, take a visit to the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway, a 3½ mile stretch at the foot of the Chiltern Hills where steam and diesel-hauled trains operate. There are many other nearby towns to visit including Dorchester, a pretty village with an abbey, Thame, a typical English market town, Wallingford, home of Agatha Christie, and Henley-on-Thames, a 12th-century market town made internationally famous for its rowing regatta. The historic university city of Oxford is within 15 miles. There is plenty more to do and see in the area including Greys Court (National Trust), Nuffield Place, Basildon Park, Harcourt Arboretum, the Earth Trust Centre, the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum and Wittenham Clumps, for stunning panoramic views of south Oxfordshire.
