Minutes from Bath, a National Trust for Historic Preservation “Distinctive Destination” city. INSIDE THE HOUSE Find this secluded mustard-colored home at the end of a long drive. Step through the red door into the foyer -- the beautiful hardwood floors begin here. The sunlit living room is to the right. This airy sanctuary seats seven on a white suede sectional with colorful pillows and two comfy chairs. Room highlights include a lobster trap coffee table, piano, big windows with stunning views, a decorative fireplace, and a 42” flat-screen TV with a Blu-ray player, Netflix, and Amazon streaming services.  There's a screened-in porch and a back deck off the living room. Step outside for breathtaking views of the marsh and surrounding woodland. Here, you can fire up the grill or relax in a few chairs while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Back inside, you'll see a wood dining table for four on your right before stepping into the kitchen. An immaculate antique stove is the conversation-piece here, but it's for decoration only -- whip up your favorite culinary creations with the electric stovetop and separate oven. There's plenty of storage and counter space in the kitchen, as well as a huge bay window overlooking the water. A high chair adds convenience for groups with small children. Find the washer and dryer towards the master bedroom on the left.  Take a right to get to the master bedroom, where vaulted ceilings with exposed beams add an expansive atmosphere. Sleep peacefully in a queen-size bed, then step onto the back deck for fresh air first thing in the morning. The shared en-suite bathroom has a tub/shower combination, double vanity, and pretty floral wallpaper. A door in the hall can be closed to separate the master suite for extra privacy. The second bedroom is located off the kitchen and features a full-size sleeper sofa and entertainment center. The other bedrooms are located upstairs: the third bedroom is to the left and has a pristine white theme, a full-size bed with a rustic painted headboard, and captivating artwork on the walls. The fourth bedroom is on the right and is furnished with two twin-size beds, a blue shag rug, and a sunlit sitting area. A travel cot for babies and toddlers provides an extra layer of convenience.  THE LOCATION This spacious home is located amidst 20+ acres of wooded riverfront property -- explore your own private wonderland of trails, rocky cliffs, and hidden coves. Drive to historic Fort Popham Beach for more natural beauty and a dip in the ocean -- if you're brave enough for those Maine temperatures, that is! The city of Bath, recently celebrated as one of the best small cities in America and a National Trust for Historic Preservation “Distinctive Destination,” is just 15 minutes away. There, you can discover the region's maritime heritage at the Maine Maritime Museum and Bath Iron Works, then grab a hearty brunch and coffee at Mae's Cafe & Bakery.
