Camp Moonside: Peaceful Suburban/Rural Field

Bring your camper, tent, or other camping arrangement and enjoy the privacy of our suburban/rural fields with mowed walking paths, fire-pit, and the peaceful sounds of nature. (Interspersed with occasional sounds of mowing from neighbors.) Sling your hammocks between trees while enjoying the sunset and spectacular stars. You can bring your pets as long as they remain on our property and will not harm our 3 cats. Access to fresh well-water and electricity are included. We are set back about 1/4 mile from the nearest public road. We have approximately 4 acres of land, mostly field but with established tree line between your camp site and a cornfield, as well as numerous younger trees we planted closer to our home. This is a very safe and peaceful area. Firewood bundles are available for $5 each. *If you need electric hook-up in your camper or tent you would need to camp closer to our barn so as to reach the outlet there. We are introverts and prefer our privacy, but if you need something please feel free to message us and we will get back to you asap. You may see us out walking our dog, Luna, who is friendly with all humans but if you have a very small dog please notify us so we can make sure Luna is leashed when outside of our fence as she hunts animals like rabbits, woodchucks, and squirrels and may not recognize a very small dog as a non-prey animal. Within a half mile walking distance there is a public land conservancy with beautiful walking trails. Within a mile there is a public park with a small beach on a lake. There is another home along our driveway and is visible from your campsite but they also keep to themselves. Town is 4 miles from us and features cute shops, a rail trail, nice restaurants, and a farmer's market. Camp Moonside is an LGTBQ2+ friendly space. Be You.
