The smallest peak Tal-Y Fan is considered the start of the 14 peaks and with Rowen being nestled in the shadow of the mountain it is a good base to start your ascent. More sedentary walks are available in the village and throughout the Conwy Valley. Those seeking an adrenaline rush look no further than Tree Top adventures (Zip World Fforest), Bounce Below, Velocity Quarry Tour & Zip World, all within 40 mins or less. Rowen is near to the historic town of Conwy with its Castle, the Smallest House in Britain, Town Walls, Suspension Bridge, Plas Mawr and Aberconwy House as well as its beaches, Marina and Quay. Surf Snowdonia, RSPB nature reserve, Welsh Mountain Zoo Bodnant Gardens and Farm Shop all are a 10-minute drive away. Popular local activities include walking, hiking, and surfing.
