This large, Cotswold stone house comprising of the main house and separate cottage, sits in lovely grounds, with far reaching views of the beautiful surrounding countryside, and is ideal for family gatherings or groups of friends. A gravel driveway with ample space welcomes you on arrival as you unload your luggage into the entrance hall of the main house, where to your right you will find the large, sociable kitchen which has stunning countryside views and all the facilities you and your group require to cook up delicious meals. Moving through the property you will find a welcoming drawing room with a feature Cotswold stone fireplace home to a large open fire, where you and your loved ones can catch up on your favourite shows curled up on the snug sofa and the budding pianist of the group can play some calming notes on the wonderful piano. Take some time to yourself in the study room which is home to an elegant writing desk and chair, where you can perch at the window seat and immerse in the pages of the books that are on offer. Completing the right wing of the main house you will find a handy utility room complete with clothes washing facilities and a cloakroom with basin and WC. Heading back to the entrance hall and making your way into the left wing of the property you will find the dining room in the heart of the house, with beautiful character features including exposed oak beams and wooden flooring, with a warming woodburning stove and a selection of music players, records, board games; the perfect room for socialising. A snug, getaway room sits adjacent to the dining room and is the sitting room of the property, a relaxing, snug room, complete with two-seater sofa and Freeview TV. A useful component to the main kitchen is the kitchenette in this wing, containing practical facilities such as a fridge, electric oven, sink and kettle. A lovely ground floor twin room sits on the ground floor and benefits from an en-suite shower room; perfect for guests with limited mobility. Head up the stairs and choose from one of the three welcoming bedrooms on the first floor; the master has lovely exposed beams, a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom is a spacious room with a super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom and the third bedroom has attractive exposed beams and a king-size bed, all bedrooms with ample hanging and clothing space. You are spoilt for choice! Completing the first floor there is a handy cloakroom with basin and WC and the bathroom which has an inviting bath and lovely exposed beams. The front door of The Cottage opens directly into the living/bedroom which is a large space comprising of a super-king-size bed, clothes hanging and storage space, with a partial wall separating the bedroom from the functional area which has a kitchen area, a bath, and a cloakroom, with a toilet and wash basin. Stairs leading up to the first floor bring you to a twin room, with a camp bed (on request) and two wooden cots; perfect for children. Once you’ve got acquainted with the inside of the property and unpacked your case, escape into the extensive gardens, surrounded with a variety of mature trees and bushes, mostly lawn, with a terrace at the back of the house which is a perfect suntrap and has welcoming seating, overlooking onto the children's play area which contains a sandpit, climbing frame and trampoline for them to keep occupied. A second terrace is located on the other side of the house and has seating for six guests, with welcoming shade from a beautiful tree and there are a number of benches dotted around to make use of in warmer months. Be sure to make use of the barbecue in the summer! Mentioned in the Doomsday Book as Niwetone. The hill overlooking the town is great for climbing up and viewing the church and the village. The Black Horse Inn is the local pub which provides great views into the heart of the Cotswolds.
