The Gorge is world-famous for its incredible wind and kite surfing, and there are tons of swimming areas, boat docks, and places to rent equipment nearby. With Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams both within an hour or two's drive and numerous other mountains lining the river, there are endless options for mountain biking and hiking close by. This sunny home is all one level, making it ideal for anyone in your group who might have mobility concerns. The living room is bright with large windows, high ceilings, wood floors, and a fireplace for crisp evenings. There's also a comfortable couch, arm chair, and dining table with room for six. With a full, brightly painted kitchen, the chef in your crew will be delighted to prep a tasty meal over a glass of wine or a cold beer! There are four unique bedrooms in this home, offering four queen-size beds and one twin bed. There are also two brightly painted full bathrooms, both with tubs. Please note that this home encourages water conservation. On the other end of the house, there's an extra sitting area with three couches and a fireplace, plus there's even a pool table! With WiFi, a gas grill, a firepit, and a big deck with a picnic table, this abode has endless possibilities for activity inside or out. With room for up to nine people, this getaway is perfect for two families or a big group of friends. The town of Stevenson is just two miles away if you feel like heading out to eat or need to grab some groceries, while Hood River (the Gorge's wind surfing mecca) is within a 40-minute drive. If you're here in the winter, the fantastic skiing and snowboarding of Mt. Hood are about an hour and half away; in the summer, several popular hiking spots like Dog Mountain and Table Mountain are within an easy drive. Plus, you can always head to nearby parks or lookout points for more outdoor adventures.
