Swell Shack (Eco-Friendly Tiny Home)
This rustic off-grid micro cabin is 106 sq. ft. but feels much bigger, nicely nestled away in the mossy temperate forest. Sleeps two in a queen bed in the loft. Minutes from surfing and hiking trails, you’re in the right place for epic adventures. We built our cabin using mainly reclaimed materials. We wanted to build a place that had minimal impact on the environment. It has on demand hot water, rainwater catchment, and solar powered electricity. There is a state of the art composting toilet outhouse, as well as an outdoor shower with full forest views. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen (sink, two burner propane stove, and small refrigerator). There are no plug ins, no wifi, and no cell service, so you can truly get away from it all. Curl up with a book next to the wood stove and enjoy the bird songs in the morning from the loft bedroom. The cabin is a ten minute walk from the beach and only a kilometre and a half from the Juan de Fuca Hiking trail.
