Kolohala studio is a peaceful place to enjoy your tropical vacation. Great for honeymooners! It is on a side dirt road, not on the main highway. It borders a beautiful meadow with horses and cows. You can walk to the beach in about three to five minutes, depending on how fast you walk. The Kolohala Studio is a downstairs studio. The upstairs part of the house is not a rental, it is left empty for when the owner is visiting the island. The owner is a single man in his 70's that comes and goes for a week or two here and there throughout the year. Which is not a big deal when he is there, as he is very quiet. He respects the privacy of the guests and likes his own privacy too. The studio has it's own separate entrance. There are maintenance people (gardeners, cleaners for upstairs, etc) that may come to do upkeep from time to time. It is a beautifully landscaped yard, with tropical plants and orchids, and other flowers. The studio has been remodeled and upgraded and is very clean and comfortable. It has a complete kitchenette with 2 burner hotplate (no oven), microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, BBQ, and all dishes and utensils as well. There is a queen size bed, futon couch, DVD player, cable TV, wireless internet access, full bath with tub & deluxe ceiling mounted rain shower, tropical outdoor shower, and use of laundry room. There are beautiful granite counters in the bathroom and the kitchen. This house is energy efficient with 100% solar water heating and solar electric with battery back up, so you won't loose power. Sleeps 2 maximum. Please note that this house is near the ocean and is considered the tsunami evacuation zone.
