This detached cottage boasts direct access to Moody Beach in Wells, ME. Moody beach, a private beach, is the northern part of a 3 mile long strip of sand that runs into Ogunquit Beach at the southern end. This three story detached cottage with four bedrooms, 1 3/4 baths, and 3 off street parking spots sleeps 8 comfortably. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, basic cable, and an equipped kitchen. Linens and towels are NOT included. For hot days there is a heat pump to cool down the first and third floors, and a window unit air conditioner in the master bedroom. All rooms have electric baseboard heat (it is Maine after all!). The back sliding door off the kitchen opens onto a private patio area for exclusive use by renters of this cottage. On the patio is a grill (propane included), beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, everything for a perfect beach day! Open the back gate and there is a dedicated path with, yes, only 20 steps to the beach! The second floor has two bedrooms, a full bath with a jacuzzi tub, and a full size washer/dryer. The master bedroom features a king size bed and has a deck with a view of the ocean. The third floor has a bedroom with three beds and a game room / bedroom with a queen size futon that comfortably sleeps two. This beautiful space is perfect for families, friends, or a couple's getaway. Within walking distance is Ogunquit center and all it has to offer including dozens of restaurants, a movie theatre, shopping, and more! Other activities in the area include kayak rentals (in season), Freeport and Kittery outlet mall shopping, the historic Ogunquit Playhouse, and Perkins Cove with its famous Marginal Way walk along the ocean. Portland and Kennebunkport to the north and Portsmouth to the south, each about a 30-40 minute drive, offer even more in the way of art galleries, restaurants, and entertainment.
