This wonderful holiday accommodation is situated on the site of the former 12th century castle of Montegonzi. Thanks to its strategic location between Florence and Siena, the castle once dominated this part of the Chianti region. In the construction of the current house, the old stones from the castle ruins were used in order to maintain an authentic atmosphere. The holiday complex comprises 8 apartments and a detached cottage. The beautiful garden (with its outdoor furniture consisting of chairs and sun umbrellas plus a stone barbecue) offers you have a beautiful view of the surroundings, with their typical Tuscan atmosphere of cypresses and vineyards. The complex has a large pool (12 x 6m) with a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. The house even has a private pool. There is also a laundry and parking for guests. This apartment is located on the ground floor and has a total area of approximately 85m². It is suitable for four to eight persons. This accommodation consists of two apartments which are linked by a connecting door. It is ideal for families with small children. There are two open kitchens which border the living rooms. Each of the corner kitchens is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, Italian coffeemaker, kettle and toaster. Each living rooms has  a double sofa bed. In total there are 2 bedrooms, both furnished with a double bed. There are two fully-equipped bathrooms with a shower or bathtub, toilet and bidet. Each apartment has a satellite TV, heating and a fan. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available upon request. It has a private entrance and private patio with furniture so you can dine outside and enjoy the tranquility and splendid landscape. This beautiful location beckons you for a relaxing holiday, where every day you can enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the complex. Furthermore, in the area you can find plenty of things to do. For example, just a short distance from the town of Greve in Chianti (1 km), which was so named in 1972 after its inclusion into the Chianti wine district, you can do some shopping or enjoy the specialties of the region at one of the local restaurants. There is also a regular market which you can easily reach on foot. Nearby lies the charming villages of Panzano (5km) where you can buy your groceries. The neighboring historic towns of Certaldo, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni – not to mention a host of others - are certainly worth a visit. In the beautiful surroundings of Greve you can go hiking, biking or horseback riding. There are several marked trails which begin from the village. You can also visit various wine tastings and enjoy all the variations of the Chianti wine. Guests can participate in organized mountain bike tours, shop in one of the many outlets or take a cooking or pottery course. If you don’t mind traveling a bit further, then definitely visit the other famous Tuscan cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo, all less than 100km away. For golf lovers there is the Ugolino Golf Club just 15km from Greve.
