Why book a room or two in a B&B when you can have a luxurious home all to yourself? Because when you choose Villa Tiferet, you get a 3,800-square-foot home (and two courtyards and a rooftop…and more) All to yourselves! This historic, renovated home is ideal for families and celebrations. Villa Tiferet, located in Tsfat's charming Artists' Quarter, is best suited for families or couples. This 400-year-old home has been renovated and can accommodate 15 guests comfortably. Tucked behind a cobbled pedestrian walkway, the home is entered through a large stone courtyard flanked with Moroccan pillows and past a splashing fountain. Inside, stone domes rise above. The modern, fully appointed kosher kitchen has granite counters and bar stools. The adjoining dining room features a large wooden table that extends to seat 16 guests. There are two ovens (meat and milk), two dishwashers (meat and milk) and two sinks. For guests who come for Shabbat, we provide an urn, hotplate, candles, bentchers and a havdalah set. Relax in the living room with its cozy couches and, in the winter, gather around the wood-burning fireplace. There are board games, books and puzzles for children to enjoy. The large master bedroom is located in the main house. It features a kosher king-size bed and Apple TV with hundreds of movies. Adjoining bathroom with shower. The library has a sofa bed that can sleep two plus a desk. This area could be ideal for accommodating parents and up to two children. Upstairs and across the courtyard are two bedrooms. Both rooms have one double bed plus a single and pullout beds to sleep a maximum of four guests in each room. One room has a private bathroom with toilet and sink. The two rooms share a bathroom with shower. Above these rooms is a large roof where you can watch the sunset and sip your wine on the couch. There are sweeping views across the Old City, towards Meiron and the rippled ranges of the Galilee. A fourth bedroom is in what we like to call the 'Hobbit Cottage.' Accessed from the living room, it has its own quiet courtyard and is ideal for couples. Nestled below an orange tree, this cottage has a double bed plus a Moroccan couch that can sleep a small child. Bathroom with shower plus a small kitchenette with sink, hotplate and kettle. We have a two-night minimum and highly recommend you take the time to explore the hidden beauty of Tzfat. It is also an ideal base for exploring Northern Israel, the Sea of Galilee and the coast. We are happy to give your touring ideas and recommend guides. One more thing to note - we keep Shabbat and if you book your stay starting on a Saturday we can only check you in one hour after the end of the Sabbath. Please keep this in mind - we will work with you to find a solution.
