It sleeps four people. It is approximately 45 square meters (485 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a shared patio, a shared garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access. You will be roughly 8 km (5 miles) from Genzano di Roma, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant a few meters (feet) away and a grocery store at 5 km (roughly 3.1 miles). Casa Pausania D is located on the first floor of an ancient farmhouse. You will reach it from the garden going up an external stairway which consists of approximately 25 steps. To stay at Casa Pausania D you will need a car. The Pausania apartments are in two old farmhouses, divided into 15 one- and two-room apartments. The houses sit in a 'borgo' - an ancient rural village, and have been carefully restored to be a vacation destination. The 'borgo' is the center of a 30 hectare productive farm, that makes wine, olive oil and has fruit orchards. You'll be in the heart of the Lazio wine country in the Albano hills, just a few kilometers from Velletri, Lanuvio and Ariccia, where you can try the famous "Porchetta of Ariccia", a delectable roasted pork that was awarded regional food recognition by the European Community. The Pausania complex is not far from the Eternal City of Rome; you'll find the San Gennaro trail station just three kilometers from the property. There is a large garden surrounding the farmhouses, where you'll find the swimming pool and a spacious patio that is shared with other guests and open to outside visitors. There is a nice picnic area 200 meters from the houses which is also illuminated for evening barbecues, outfitted with tables, benches and brick barbecue grills. There is also a volleyball court and tennis court. The sports area also has a changing room and showers, as well as a large parking lot for campers. The sports area is open to outside visitors and property guests. Within the complex you'll find a nice restaurant and pizzeria where you can sample the local specialties made with farm-fresh ingredients grown on-site, which is also open to the public. Please note: in some days, due to private events, the swimming pool may not be available. Swimming Pool The swimming pool is 8 meters (26 feet) large by 15 meters (50 feet) long, 1.4 meters (4.6 feet) deep. It is an infinity pool. The swimming pool area is equipped with tables, chairs and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a splendid view of the Pontine plain and of the greenery. You will share the pool with other guests staying at the complex, as well as with non-resident guests. It is open from the beginning of June until the end of September. Patio The patio is 250 square meters (2690 square feet) large. It is equipped with tables, chairs and sun umbrellas. From the patio you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. You will share the patio with other guests staying at the complex, as well as with non-resident guests. Garden 1 The garden is 2000 square meters (21500 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a wood roof and by fruit trees. It is equipped with tables and chairs. From the garden you will enjoy a characteristic view of the surrounding countryside and of the vineyards. You will share the garden with other guests staying at the complex, as well as with non-resident guests. Garden 2 The garden is 150 square meters (1615 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a wood roof and by trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun umbrellas. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue. The garden is shared with other guests staying at the complex, as well as with non-resident guests.  Living Room The furnishings of the living room are simple. The furnishings include a sofa. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner gas cooker, a small refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate four guests. The room has a window with a view of the garden and of the surrounding green fields. Bathroom The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room. Top FloorMezzanine Level In the living room you will find a closed mezzanine level, without door. You will be able to access it from the climbing 15 steps. The mezzanine has a wrought iron matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), as well as a wrought iron bunk bed (two single beds, one on top of the other). The ceiling is sloped, has characteristic exposed wood beams and has an height of 2.70 meters (8.8 feet) at its highest point and of 1.40 meters (4.6 feet) at its lowest point. The mezzanine has a window with a view of the garden. In this room you will find a television (local channels).   Please kindly note.
