The golden sand on Wells beach stretches for mile upon mile when the tide is out and is considered one of the best beaches in Norfolk! A walk along the beach to Holkham enjoying miles of perfect golden sand is a must. Younger children might enjoy the indoor play area ‘Play land’ and the newly opened Wells Maltings holds craft events, cinema films, live music and events suitable for all. Carnival week is also not to be missed, usually at the end of July, it includes a raft race, tug of war, duck race, sandcastle and sculpture competition, carnival parade and live music events throughout the week.
