Traditional Peak District Barn - cosy interior, wood burning stove, pets welcome
With its wood-burning stove and exposed beams, cosy Stanley Barn dates back over 200 years and is the perfect base for exploring beautiful Tideswell and the stunning countryside that surrounds it. This cosy detached barn is ideal for up to two adults and two children in a double room and twin beds for children on a mezzanine. There is also a comfortable sofa bed for an extra guest. Pets, children and muddy boots are welcome. Guests have the use of a sunny seating area with garden furniture and a barbecue and views over the garden and village. There are beautiful walks straight from the door and a thriving Peak District village with pubs, cafes, independent food shops and the famous Cathedral of the Peak. Accessed on the first floor by a flight of stone steps, the charming living room is kept toasty by a wood-burning stove set in a gritstone fireplace, where you can relax with comfy double settees, a new Smart TV with DVD, free WiFi, board games and of course plenty of books. The modern and stylish downstairs bathroom has a high-quality shower, toilet and sink. Up a few steps from the living room is an open plan kitchen-diner with a cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine and fridge. A pine dining table seats up to 5 people comfortably and there is a DAB radio and HiFi with Bluetooth and mini-jack inputs. Approached up a separate staircase from the kitchen, the beautiful main bedroom has exposed beams and skylight window, a comfortable pine double bed, antique dresser and wardrobe and an en-suite toilet and washbasin. A second small sleeping space is on a mezzanne accessed from the kitchen. Ideal for older children who are confident in climbing a short ladder, the bedroom has two single beds (one is full size, the other 2ft 6ins by 6ft long) and a gate with a latch. Note there is a very low beam in this room! Off-street parking is available for one car.
