Nearby Mošćenice is a picturesque town in the hinterland of Mošćenička Draga. At the end of August, the International Art Colony is held in the streets, squares and stairs of the fortified old town, bringing together artists from all over Europe for a week. Two other well-known competitions are held here, namely „picanje“ or throwing eggs with a coin for Easter and throwing paper planes over the city walls towards the sea. From Mošćenice there are 753 stairs to the beach Sv. Ivan. Visit the beautiful beach in Mošćenička Draga. The nearby Učka Nature Park is an ideal place for relaxation and recreation. Lovers of active holidays here can enjoy the exceptional nature, which is adorned with many protected and rare animal and plant species. From the top of Vojak there is a phenomenal panoramic view of the Kvarner islands, Istria and Rijeka. Enjoy well-kept hiking and biking trails, educational trails and promenades, the most famous of which are the Slap promenade and the Vela draga educational trail.
