It is also ideally placed for days out in the glorious countryside of Northumberland, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Water sports are available at nearby Talkin Tarn and Kielder Water. Hadrian’s Wall is just 30 minutes away, and Gateshead is an hour’s drive, with its large shopping centre complete with restaurants and 10-screen cinema. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
