The Crabshack - Peel Estuary Experience - Mandurah
CrabShack - Peel Estuary Experience
Location: Mandurah is a beautiful Western Australian town located on the Peel estuary 72 km south of the Perth CBD. The estuary is a breeding ground for a large variety of bird and marine life but is renowned for its crabs, dolphins and pelicans. Mandurah is a lazy holiday town known for its beaches, fishing, restaurants, scenic walks and outdoor activities. The Crabshack is a fully rebuilt mid-century timber house offering a lifestyle snapshot of days gone by. Located one street back from one of Mandurah's best crabbing spots on the Coodanup foreshore, you can borrow our scoop nets and have a go for yourself. Its a like a secret hideaway, very quiet streets and a peaceful location, however still within close proximity to beaches, restaurants, shopping malls, boat ramps, Mandurah town-site and fishing. House Details: The CrabShack was extensively rebuilt over a two year period. Designed to retain the original character of the house so that it ties into its surroundings. Furnishing has been sourced to compliment the late seventies styling. You'll love the design and attention to detail of the renovation. The CrabShack provides a lifestyle experience. It boasts a gourmet kitchen with quality appliances and cooking utensils. Entertaining is enhanced by a variety of spaces which lead to an outdoor entertaining area. The rooms are comfortable with inner-sprung matresses, Air-Conditioning, ceiling fans and a cosy wood fire for the winter months. Guests have free access to a range of bicycles. Crabbing gear and some fishing equipment is available upon request and advice on the best fishing spots is always available to guests. Linen including doona covers, sheets and pillow cases can be provided for an additional fee. This property is perfect for families. It is very quiet and safe walking distance to the Coodanup foreshore reserve and children's play ground. A large shed and low maintenance rear courtyard offer an area for a barbecue and darts. Although the summer holidays are peak season, my favourite time to stay is early winter. Calm cool nights allow the Crabshack to excel in comfortable living. Sit around the fire, perhaps watch the footy, put your feet up and enjoy how a holiday in mandurah was 25 years ago. The house sits on a large block where there is ample parking for cars, boats and caravans. There are boat ramps only minutes away which offer easy access to the Peel estuary, the Serpentine and Murray Rivers and the Indian ocean. Mandurah offers a variety of fishing options including deep sea, fresh water, beach, rock and estuary.
