The Chapel is located in the heart of Staveley village situated midway between Kendal and Windermere, providing a convenient base to explore the Lake District. Forming part of a former place of worship The Chapel has been extensively refurbished since 2018, with a new bathroom fitted in February 2019 and en-suite added in March 2021. Retaining a traditional cottage feel with modern conveniences, the downstairs comprises of an open plan kitchen and living space as well as a bathroom with shower over the bath. Upstairs comprises a double bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite, and a twin bedroom with additional trundle bed for a fifth guest. There is off road parking for 2 cars and a small, enclosed garden at the rear overlooking the River Gowan. Staveley is a thriving village with numerous cafes, a pub, grocery store, newsagent and playground. It is also home to The Mill Yard comprising the Hawkshead Brewery and Beer Hall, an artisan bakery and cycle hire. All within 160 yards of The Chapel. Superb walks ranging from leisurely strolls to full day hikes can be enjoyed from the door for those not wishing to be too dependent on the car. A bus service also operates through the village linking to Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick. Free WiFi There is a small lawned garden to the rear of the property, overlooking the river. There is a pull down bed available (also with linen provided) if needed. Cot hire is available for an additional fee of £10.00. There is an extra charge of £5.00 for highchair hire if required. Bed linen and towels are included.
