Binya Mountain Cabin

Summary: Welcome to BINYA, meaning “a good place to rest”. This double story mountain-style cottage in Blackheath provides the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. It is surrounded by the Blue Mountains National Park’s breathtaking escarpment views, peaceful bushwalks, world-class rock-climbing and amazing cafes and restaurants. The Space: This cosy home has a sunny garden, tall raked timber ceilings and plenty of natural light beaming into the modern open-plan living spaces both downstairs and upstairs. The cottage has been recently renovated and furnished with new kitchen appliances, a smart tv (including Netflix subscription), new carpet and polished floorboards to help make your stay relaxing and convenient. In the cold weather a slow combustion fireplace (firewood provided) will keep you warm snuggled up on the couch or toasting marshmallows while watching the mountain mist roll in. The large kitchen overlooks the garden and has a new gas stove and and fan forced oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge and freezer. It is well equipped with sharp knives and useful utensils to cook up a delicious wholesome meal to share with friends and loved ones. The large solid hardwood dining table provides the perfect setting to enjoy your meal in the privacy and quiet of your own space. Upstairs is a large loft style space with two generously sized bedrooms and a separate living space for children to escape and play with the toys and board games provided or adults can lounge on the couch and read a book chosen from our bookcase. The bathroom has a dual bath and shower. The large laundry room has a front loading washing machine, tumble dryer, toilet, iron and ironing board for your use and convenience. There is a separate second toilet room. Hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner and hand sanitiser is provided for your use when staying at Binya. The house has four cosy bedrooms with each of them having new carpet, new queen sized “Koala” mattress's, pillows, duvet and soft throws ensuring a rejuvenating night’s sleep after exploring the mountains. In the second living space upstairs there is a sofa bed which sleeps two more guests by arrangement. All linen and towels are included during your stay. If required we can supply a high chair, porta-cot and baby bathtub upon request. Unlimited NBN internet and Netflix is provided. Binya is a convenient 15-minute walk to the Blackheath town centre and Blackheath train station. The town centre hosts a wonderful mix of places to see including art galleries, antique stores, Glebe Books, a record store and abundant cafes and restaurants. The local Growers Market is held on the second Sunday of the month in which you can stroll down the street for 10 minutes and find an amazing amount of beautifully fresh local produce, honey, cheese, bread, coffee, yummy food stalls and sometimes live music. A bushwalking guidebook is provided for you to explore the countless beautiful nature trails in Blackheath and surrounds. Katoomba and Leura are only a 10-15mins drive (or train) away if you want to explore the famous Three Sisters, Scenic World, local award winning brewery “Mountains Culture Beer Co” or endless other restaurants, shops, galleries and walks.
