Nestled among mature pine trees, Wendy’s Place will make you wish you could stay forever. Our repeat guests are proof of that. We strive to provide everything you need for a worry-free, hassle-free vacation on a beautiful piece of property, surrounded by nature. We want this to be your home away from home. The lush gardens and the night sky are beyond description and our rooms are equipped with everything that you will need for a relaxing and stress free stay. A fully contained guest house, remodeled in 2020, this adorable little place has everything you will need for a great vacation. CUSTOM WINDOW BLINDS FOR PRIVACY. There is a property manager in the main house who can give you tips for your stay. The cottage has a queen size bed and a pull-out couch with a very comfortable 7" mattress and gel foam topper. We have limited cell service on our property, as we are out in a relatively secluded area. You will have to enable WiFi calling to receive cell service. We do have fiber optics, though, so once you're connected, you're good! Guest parking is located in front of the cottage by the wooden picket fence and flower garden in a shared driveway. Stairs to the left of your parking area beyond the gate will lead you down to your cottage oasis. We do have other people residing on the property and while your privacy will be respected, you should know that there may be activity happening from time to time as a part of normal life and property upgrades. your own private fenced yard is available for pets and you are welcome to walk leashed pets around most of the property, but be aware that the front is not completely fenced so keep an eye on them. There are certain off limits signs that are private so please enjoy the property but also respect the privacy of the staff and full time residents. If you’re not sure if you can use something, feel free to ask one of the caretakers. This is a private guesthouse and you will be left alone. There is someone available if you need them, but for the most part you will be on your own. Wendy's Place is located on an historic road and offers not only a beautiful drive through wine country but access to many vineyards and wine tasting rooms. Our place is not in a neighborhood and has more of a country cottage type of feel where you aren't likely to run into neighbors in close proximity. There are a couple of nice restaurants within driving distance but walking on our road isn't recommended as there are no sidewalks. It is a true getaway spot. Attractions nearby include sights such as a fish hatchery, a wildlife sanctuary, Native American ruins, a Casino and, of course, the beautiful red rocks of Sedona and slide rock state park. The closest grocery stores are in Sedona (Safeway, Bashas, natural grocers and Whole Foods), in Cottonwood (Safeway, Food City, Frys and Mount Hope for health food). Our mission is to ensure that you have the best vacation you’ve ever had and that you leave here relaxed and happy, remembering the serenity and beauty of our desert oasis. The property is constantly evolving and offers the opportunity to bask in silence and let yourself relax and just BE. We want you to experience magic. The stars at night are a definite highlight. We are constantly adding sweet sitting areas, pet areas, viewing spaces, and have included many amenities that you may not think you need but are glad to have, such as scissors, stick lighters and coffee. We have paid attention to detail so that you don’t have to. Dogs are welcome and we don't charge a pet fee. Your furry friends will even have a treat waiting for them. Dogs only. NO CATS, PLEASE. We ask that you be respectful by cleaning up after your pet and not bathing them in the rooms. There are pet disposal stations located throughout the property for your convenience. Pease don't leave pets unsupervised in the rooms for long periods of time, early in the morning, or late at night. We have a pet sitting service available in the area should you need it. We take our guest reviews very seriously and hope that if there is ever an issue, you will bring it to our attention. Our property is always improving and so we generally have projects in the works and there may be building materials in sight from time to time. We strive to continually improve our space and welcome any suggestions you may have. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy stay at our airBNB. The safety of our guests is our top priority. Daily, we are working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance from the CDC and WHO on hygiene and cleaning. The health and safety measures we are taking are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and cover everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest room and common area cleaning procedures. As a precaution, we are leaving our rental vacant for one night between stays to allow time for our deep cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Our housekeepers wear masks and gloves and follow a strict protocol. We are doing the best we can to ensure your safety and with that being said, should you choose to book your vacation with us, you are agreeing to not hold us liable for any illness related or unrelated to COVID-19.
