Forest Glen: 1814 Modern Farmhouse w/ Pool in New Paltz

This is an 1814 Federal farmhouse with modern additions on 19 acres in the popular town of New Paltz. Great views of the Shawangunk Ridge. An outdoor pool will be a cool respite for hot summer Hudson Valley days. Inside, you'll find a unique combination of 19th Century tradition and modern design with 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There is also a firepit! *If you would like to bring a dog, you *must* add it to the reservation under the # of guests section upon booking. The spray is non-toxic in accordance with Ulster County regulations. *This house does NOT currently have a back-up generator. *Due to risk of fire, please do not charge your electric car on the property. *No smoking in or on the property. *No parties or extra guests outside the maximum occupancy allowed on the listing. *No weapons. - Pick up after your pet’s business outside. - Please be sure to check them for ticks after spending anytime outdoors (and be sure to check yourself as well). - Please wipe their paws when entering the house. - Please no not allow your dog on furniture, unless you bring a throw blanket from home that they can lay on. Dogs are not allowed on beds. - If your dog is not fully trained, please bring their crate if they need to be left unattended. - Owners assume responsibility for their pet when they are outside on the property. Please note that the home is located in the country which is also home to wildlife. Our property management company, Home Sweet Hudson, is available to provide you with Guest Support. Table has two additional leaves to expand the table (they are lying flat on the bookshelf in the living room). The dining room also features a nook with a desk. KITCHEN/DINING SPACE: Dining table with 6x chairs and 2x kids chairs and option 2x highchairs in the eat-in kitchen space. 36" Stove with five burners is in the island with a separate oven, dishwasher, and cookware well stocked. Bonavita drip coffee machine and ground coffee provided. Kitchen amenities: large pots and pans for cooking, sheet pans, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, wine bottle openers, peeler, blender, mixing bowls, strainers, cutting boards, serving platters. OFFICE: Desk (electric adjustable-height), ergonomic desk chair, 27" high-def monitor, lamp, TV, and Eames lounge chair. OUTDOOR: Off the living room there is a brick patio with a teak outdoor dining table and a kids table. Large 65" Weber propane grill available for you to use (we stock propane). Massive yard surrounded by woods with a seated firepit. In-ground pool available Memorial Day to Labor Day. AMENITIES: Washer/dryer available to use. Cleaning supplies and drying racks provided. FIREPLACE: Only the fireplace in the living room is functional at the moment. Stocked with plenty of firewood. KID FRIENDLY: Play kitchen for toddlers and play tent. Lots of toys and games in cabinets. Kids picnic table outside. Crib and kids beds.
