Vänster House, Large Remodeled Farmhouse overlooking Seneca Lake

Find yourself at home in this large, newly remodeled farmhouse that sits just above the shores of Seneca Lake.  The Vänster House has a hundred year old history as an old farmhouse but was completely redone in 2020.  The homestead boasts over 5 acres of yard, gardens, and open meadow.  The setting is very private with a fenced in yard/garden, field stone patio and deck and the view of Seneca Lake can't be beat.  You'll be able to watch the sun rise above the lake and watch the wildlife...deer, foxes, and other animals...graze or roam through the meadow just outside the garden gate. Vänster House has a large open Kitchen and Dining area with large windows that allow guests to look over the backyard to the lake beyond.  The Living room has a cozy gas fireplace and there is a full bath with a walk in shower, laundry closet and toilet closet on the main floor. Attached to the Living room, and at the bottom of the stairs, is a small office room with a Twin trundle bed, which can be converted into a King bed. Walking up the old farmhouse stairs, you'll find Bedroom 3 at the top of the stairs.  This bedroom has two twin beds along with it's own attached full bath with walk-in shower.   Across the hall is Bedroom 2, which is a large bedroom with Queen bed overlooking the front of the house and the road.  This bedroom is an en-suite as well with an attached full bath with walk in shower. The Master bedroom is at the end of the hallway and is quite large.  The Master bedroom has a King size bed, a sitting area with large windows overlooking the backyard and a view of the lake, and an attached Master bath.  The Master bath has a walk in shower and a separate toilet room. While the farmhouse is comfortable and a great spot to unwind, you're sure to love the outdoor spaces and gardens this home has to offer.  There is a large deck attached to the Dining room via patio doors and you can dine on the deck, grill, or walk down onto the flagstone patio to the firepit.  The patio is set into the yard and garden area, which is completely fenced in.  You'll find old world perennials and herbs, along with some vegatables, berries, and grapes scattered through the garden areas.  The fenced in backyard is separated from the meadow by large gates.  You'll enjoy watching our favorite visitors, the deer, as they come out in to the meadow from the surrounding woods to enjoy the green grass. If you're looking for a spacious farmhouse to enjoy on your next trip to the Finger Lakes, the Vänster House is going to become your new favorite place to kick back and relax.  **Air conditioning is provided via wall units in each individual bedroom and main living areas **We ask that renters be over the age of 25.
