La Grange Farmhouse is an amazing farmhouse with everything you'll need for a great time. There is an in-ground pool, hot tub, and fire pit in the expansive back yard for the outdoor hangs. The grounds of this fantastic entertaining home are set on a 9 acre field with a picturesque red barn. A cozy and beautifully decorated chic farmhouse inside awaits you with a cozy eat-in kitchen fully stocked with spices, oils, and pantry goods, a formal dining room with a 10 person table, an inviting living space with smart TV and plenty of lounging spots, and an amazing activity room with a brand new pool table, flat screen Smart TV, board games, and poker chips. The house has Sonos speakers throughout for the ultimate entertaining and high speed WIFI for those who wish to WFH. A private office with a desk is available on the second floor if you wish to have privacy while working. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, cutlery, baking items, cookware, toaster oven, blender, dishwasher, stove/oven, and a full coffee/tea station with a drip machine and french press available. Fresh ground local coffee from Monkey Joe's is provided for all guests. We stock the house with spices, oils, and other pantry goods to cook a dinner for up to 10-12 people. We welcome our guests with a bottle of wine from a favorite local vineyard, Millbrook Vineyard, as well as a 2 for 1 tasting pass for all guests staying at our house. :) *If you would like to bring a dog, you *must* add it to the reservation under the # of guests section upon booking. One dog is allowed per reservation, unless otherwise approved by host (please send us a message). Sorry, we do not allow cats. Please abide by our pet rules. * This house has a back-up generator. *Ticks/bugs are a regular part of upstate NY. *If you would like to bring a dog, you *must* add it to the reservation under the # of guests section upon booking. Please abide by our pet rules. - We ask that you pick up after your pet’s business outside. - Please be sure to check them for ticks after spending anytime outdoors (and be sure to check yourself as well). - Please wipe their paws when entering the house. - If you allow your dog on furniture, please bring a throw blanket from home that they can lay on. We ask that dogs are not allowed on beds. - If your dog is not fully trained, please bring their crate for if they need to be left unattended. - Owners assume responsibility for their pet when they are outside on the property. Please note that the home is located in the country which is also home to wildlife. * Due to fire hazard, we ask that you please do not charge your electric car. * No parties, smoking, or weapons. BATHROOMS: There are 3x full baths, one on the main floor and the other two on the second floor where the bedrooms are. All three bathrooms are newly renovated. KITCHEN: The newly renovated kitchen is open to the non-formal dining table, along with a bar cart area and a coffee station. DINING ROOM: A beautifully decorated formal dining room with a 10 person table is right next to the kitchen and the main floor full bath. GAME ROOM: Main floor game room with bar-sized pool table, darts, flat screen Smart TV, poker chips, and Cards Against Humanity with a working fireplace. An enclosed room off of the living room has a ping pong table and looks out to the hot tub/fire pit area. OFFICE ROOM: Located on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are, we have a room with a desk for quiet WFH. WORK OUT SPACE: In the basement we have a great home gym set up with an exercise bike, boxing punching bag, rower, dumbbell set bench, pull-up bar, and yoga mats! OUTDOOR SPACE: An in-ground swimming pool (available Memorial Day to Labor Day only), 7-person hot tub, fire pit, and grill are available for you to use. A 15 minute cab ride from the Poughkeepsie Metro North station! Local activities include hiking, golf, visiting the home of FDR at Hyde Park, the famous artist Frederick Church's Olana Estate, Washington Irving's Sunnyside Sleepy Hollow.
