This 2 bed / 2 bath contemporary home in the quiet neighborhood of Rosendale is a great place for family and friends. According to folklore it was the town distillery during Prohibition, hence the name! Today it's a quick walk to the 22.5-mile Rail Trail and famous Rosendale Trestle with stunning views of the Rondout Creek and Joppenbergh Mountain. You can explore the village of Rosendale by foot with cool places like the Rosendale Movie Theater, Soy (Japanese homestyle cooking), Garden House (Middle Eastern cuisine), or enjoy a (legal) cocktail at the 1850 House Inn. Nearby you'll find Ollie's Pizza in the town of High Falls, a new and popular woodfire-pizza place with a delicious menu of specialty cocktails, local beers, and natural wines. Rosendale is centrally located in the Hudson Valley where there's no shortage of incredible outdoor recreation, including nearby Shawangunk Mountains and the Minnewaska State Preserve; and is less than 15 minutes by car to New Paltz and Kingston where you'll find a thriving arts community with some of the region's finest dining and upscale shopping. *If you would like to bring a dog, you *must* add it to the reservation under the # of guests section upon booking. Please be aware that the house is located in the country which is also home to wildlife. *Ticks/bugs are a regular part of Upstate NY. Tick prevention sprays for yards are very toxic to animals and pets, so we do not use them. Please be mindful of checking yourself when spending time outside. *This house does NOT currently have a back-up generator. *Due to risk of fire, please do not charge your electric car on the property. No smoking in or on the property. No parties or extra guests outside the maximum occupancy allowed on the listing. No loud music after 9pm. No weapons. Coffee Options: Drip coffee, Breville Bambino espresso maker, stovetop kettle. DINING ROOM: Table and chairs for 6. Open floor plan with kitchen. LIVING ROOM: Smart TV and cozy couches. Feel free to log-in to your favorite streaming services! ALL SEASONS ROOM: A room with seating: great for eating breakfast in the morning light. OUTDOOR SPACE: Small outdoor patio (uncovered) with seating and propane grill for you to use (we stock propane!). Fire pit with seating area for nighttime star gazing. NOTE: The house is close to neighbors but is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood!
