Springtime in the Berkshires is great for biking, museums, board games or a good book. The house has everything you'll need to enjoy a memorable visit with family and friends, from streaming TV to a fully stocked kitchen. THE HOME This newly renovated, beautifully designed, and delightfully decorated home can accommodate 7 guests in 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. With a brand new, fully-stocked kitchen, guests can enjoy making family meals together. Enjoy your morning coffee or a relaxing afternoon on our breezy screened-in porch. Take to the grill on our spacious, where you can relax on our comfy outdoor furniture and watch the sun shimmer on the lake. Kids and adults alike love swimming, boating, and fishing right in the backyard! THE LAKE The water is clean, calm, and quiet—no motorboats are allowed on Long Bow Lake. Hop in for a refreshing swim when it's warm outside. Catch and release fishing is encouraged, no permit is required, and we provide fishing poles and tackle. We also have 2 kayaks and a paddleboat for you to enjoy, with life jackets for adults and children. ABOUT THE AREA Becket is a rustic town nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Stockbridge, Lee, Great Barrington, and many more lovely towns are all a short ride away. We provide a guestbook with plenty of recommendations on what to see, what to do, and where to dine in the area. The Sherwood Greens community is private, friendly, and quiet. It offers peaceful walks, a community beach, and more. Please be considerate of the community during your stay and keep noise levels reasonable. Large parties are not permitted. YEAR-ROUND ACTIVITIES Summer—Kayak, paddle boat, swim, and fish in the lake; visit Jacob’s Pillow just 5 minutes down the road Autumn—Leaf peeping, fire pit s'mores, and plenty of nearby hiking Winter—Downhill and cross-country skiing (Otis Ridge is 10 minutes away), snowshoeing, skating on the frozen lake, and cozy time by the fireplace Spring—Long walks in the private community, barbecues on the deck, and quiet time on the 3-season porch THE INTERNET 40+ MBPS internet is available at the house. Wired internet is coming soon, but in the meantime, we offer a high-speed internet solution so you can work, stream your favorite shows, and stay connected during your Berkshires escape. WHAT TO EXPECT We've taken care of most of the things you'll need, including thorough, professional cleaning with disinfectants; crisp, fresh linens and towels; all-natural toiletries; basic kitchen equipment; and some pantry staples (e.g. salt, etc.). If you're planning a big meal, or need something more specific, there are excellent gourmet grocers and large supermarkets nearby, as well as outstanding restaurants in Lee, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, and beyond. You'll have open access to the house, deck, lake, and expansive landscape. We respect your privacy, so we offer contactless check-in via personal entry code and support by text or phone. We have an office in town, so we're nearby if you need assistance. Long Bow Lodge is an idyllic getaway for family gatherings, couples vacationing, or small groups of friends. GETTING AROUND You'll need a car to get here and get around—and the drive will be beautiful! IMPORTANT NOTES This is a smoke-free property. Although the Posto Property team loves animals, the owners of this property do not permit pets. Due to local community rules and guidelines set by the owner, parties and large gatherings are prohibited at this property. We cannot accommodate weddings, or any events with outdoor music, catering, excessive alcohol, etc. To ensure a safe and comfortable stay, the owners and of this property require that all guests sign a Short-term Rental agreement that clearly sets forth the terms and conditions of your stay. We provide detailed check-in information 5 days prior to your arrival, and we are pleased to answer your questions at any time.
