Ready for your next mountain getaway? Our townhouse is the ideal spot to take advantage of the year-round activities the Catskills has to offer. You can enjoy sitting around the fireplace after a day’s skiing in the winter or enjoy the mountain view while barbecuing on the large outdoor deck after hiking or biking the local trails during the summer. Location: Situated in the heart of the Catskills, our home is nestled in a tree-lined community that is less than a 5-minute drive to Windham Ski resort and town, less than a 15-minute drive to Hunter Mountain, the town of Tannersville, and a stone throw's away from the ElmRidge mountain biking and hiking trails making it an ideal home base for your year-round adventure. Winter activities: Once the leaves and temperatures have dropped, you have the pleasure of enjoying the Catskills through a new lens. You have winter activities such as skiing and tubing at the Hunter Mountain and Windham ski resorts where you can also enjoy fireworks displays, live music, and indoor dining. Off of the mountains you have snowshoeing, sledding (on the property), horseback riding, and hiking available at your fingertips. Once you are finished with your outdoor activities, you can cozy up on the couch in front of the wood-burning fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa. Spring activities: This is the time of year you have the opportunity to see the mountains come back to life! Listen to the melting snow and be exposed to the water rushing through the landscape with the intent of nourishing the ground for things around you to grow. Sit back and watch the leaves come to life and cover the mountain range with a vibrant green. If you choose to go for a hike, you are exposed to beautiful flowers if the trail permits it. Summer activities: There is nothing like a Catskill summer! This is the time of year you get to enjoy the ski mountains from a different perspective. You can visit Hunter Ski Resort not for skiing but for zip lining, mountain bike riding or simply taking the ski lift up the mountain to enjoy the views. The surrounding area offers horseback riding, numerous hiking trails, outdoor dining with mountain views at nearby restaurants, access to the Windham golf course, swimming at nearby lakes (Colgate lake and CD lane park). You also have access to farmers' markets, the Hunter car show, and other activities locally. Fall activities: This is the time of year you get to see the fall foliage at its best! There is nothing that compares to the variety of colors on the mountain range you get to enjoy here in the Catskills. As everyone hurries around in preparation for the winter season, there is nothing more soothing and peaceful than enjoying a hike, in perfect temperatures, watching the leaves change. This is also a good time to enjoy a picnic at the lake with the last of the summer sun. About the house: We fitted the house with high-speed mesh wifi throughout all levels to ensure you can stay connected if need be. The Google chrome cast enabled big screen TV in the living room and smart TV in the downstairs game room lets you stream and enjoy your favorite shows. The game room is also fitted with a small pool table as well as a number of board games for you to enjoy with the family. Ideal for up to 8 guests with plenty of room across the 3 levels.
