We are excited to welcome guests to our property. Whether you are attending a wedding, visiting North Georgia for its scenic beauty and bountiful activities, or enjoying the walkability of Historic Downtown Ball Ground, you will love our 3 bedroom, 2 bath originally restored farmhouse, that we affectionately call, the 1910 House. It's located central to everything Ball Ground has to offer, including delicious and unique food, shopping, and wedding venues. ‘The 1910 House’ is beautifully updated while still keeping the charm from the year 1910. This space has everything you need for a relaxing time in or even a busy time out in the downtown area. Wether you like morning coffee on the porch or a cookout and corn hole in the back yard (or both!) this is the perfect space for you. This is a step-less ranch with accessible parking. You will have the entire house, accessed through a private entrance by a unique code. Parking is free on the property.Our prime location offers many things to do. We'll point you in any direction you choose to ensure your stay is all you want it to be and more! Ready to Enjoy? Don't want to wander into town? Then, play some corn hole, cook your favorite steak, or sit on the porch and watch the time go by. Adventure Awaits: If you are ready to get out and moving, there is no shortage of activities for you to enjoy. Get out into nature on a hike through Ball Ground's park trails that offer some fantastic views and possible wildlife spotting. Head over to Gibbs Gardens, named #2 in the nation for Best American Botanical Gardens. Only 8 miles from your front door, this place offers 30 million daffodil bulbs and the largest Japanese Maple Garden, outside of Japan itself. Feather's Edge Winery, 1.5 miles away, is a must see (and taste). It offers seasonal food trucks, gift shop, wine tasting, artists gallery and an outdoor amphitheater. Shop: A short walk (less than a football field...although the road is a little fast paced) will take you into the historic downtown district for unique shopping experiences, gourmet dining, and live music. The City offers special outdoor events throughout the year to maximize your experience. Tie the Knot: North Georgia is a hot spot for tying the knot. The 1910 House is across the street (literally) from The Wheeler House Wedding Venue, down the street (300 yards) from The Corner District Wedding Venue, seven miles from The Tate House Estate Wedding Venue, and eight miles from West Milford Farms Wedding Venue. And it's near numerous top venues as rated by The Knot website. Edibles: Want to try something very unique? How about dining on a Black Angus Burger in a restored public transportation bus from the 1960's Downtown Atlanta era. The Burger Bus is a unique find and is as tasty as it gets. Want a different cup of coffee? How about coffee beans from whiskey or wine barrels? Barrel House Coffee is unforgettable and you will be back for more, so get your VIP card punched! Looking for a wood fired pizza from a cool food truck? Try Dominic's Wood Fired Food Truck. No visit to North Georgia would be complete without a BBQ fix. Try our favorite place, 1.5 miles away from your front door, Choate BBQ. Try Rock Solid Brewery for a great experience, Ball Ground Tavern is under construction and coming soon. Need to fix a sweet tooth? Try Scooped on Main for some sweets. There's even a downtown butcher shop, Frankfurt Doner and Meats for some good cuts of meat; and they sell a "life changing sandwich"...guess you'll have to try it with a name like that.
