There’s nothing like the smell of salt in the air and a warm breeze through your hair - and that’s just what you’ll find at beautiful Salty Harbor in Captain’s Cove Golf and Yacht Club. One of the best kept secrets on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Captain’s Cove sits directly on the Chincoteague Bay, just 25 short minutes by car or boat to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, where our wild ponies roam free. Looking for some OC excitement? Ocean City, MD is a short 45 minute drive away. Here, life takes a slower pace - sipping wine as you watch the sun sink into the Chincoteague Bay, or the joy you feel watching the kids catch Crabs off the dock. THIS is what Vacation Dreams are made of. Salty Harbor is tucked away on a peaceful Canal, in a very quiet section of the Cove. This lovely home sleeps 8 more than comfortably in 4 Bedrooms + a Loft! You’ll love relaxing in the Living Area and sinking into the oversized comfy furnishings while enjoying Flat Screen TV and Free WiFi. The open layout at Salty Harbor is just perfect for how we live and entertain today - you’ll never feel crowded. The Chef in your family will find mealtime a bay breeze in the well-stocked Kitchen. Grab a quick bite at the Breakfast Bar before hitting the Beach, or dine family-style in the large dining area. There’s a 2nd table in the Living Area, ideal for dining or even family game night! Even better, dine Al-Fresco on the huge Waterfront Deck with ample seating for all. Follow the spiral staircase in the Dining Area upstairs to the awesome Loft, which sleeps 4 in 2 Twin Beds and 2 Futons. Also on the 1st Floor, you’ll find 2 Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths. The Master Bedroom is just off the Living Area and features a comfy King Bed, gorgeous Bay Views, and access to the Waterfront Deck. Just imagine slipping out to stargaze while everyone else slumbers. The Private Master Bath has a Tub/Shower Combo. Bedroom 2 is just down the Hall and has 2 Twin Beds. A Full Bath with Walk-in Shower is convenient to the Living Area and Bedroom. Wandering upstairs, you’ll find yet 2 more Bedrooms and another Full Bath. Bedrooms 3 and 4 both have comfy Queen Beds. Bedroom 4 has a very cool Private Waterfront Balcony - grab your morning coffee and watch the Herons and Egrets fish for their morning meal. As awesome as your stay will be inside Salty Harbor, we can’t wait to tell you how much fun you’ll have playing outside this wonderful home! Under the carport, you’ll find a free-standing Screened Porch, perfect for curling up with a good book. Follow the Boardwalk down to the water’s edge to try your hand at fishing and crabbing right in your own backyard. There’s a picnic table for your crab feast, and lots of seating for relaxing and taking in that salty, sweet sea breeze. There are some tubes and water toys for your use, as well as a kayak! Captain’s Cove is loaded with amenities - a Golf Course, Indoor Pool, 2 Outdoor Pools - 1 Bayfront with Tiki Bar, Fitness Center, Playground, Restaurant, and Snack Bar. Guests may purchase Amenity Passes for the pools by the day or the week at a minimal fee ($4/pp per day or $10/pp per week). More of a beach person? One of the most gorgeous, cleanest beaches in America, Assateague Island National Park, is only 20 minutes down the street, or take your boat to one of our awesome sand bars for your own private slice of Paradise. Friday - Friday during the Peak Season. Captain's Cove does not allow arrivals or departures on Sundays. Pool/Amenity closures possible due to covid and Amenities cannot be guaranteed. Please check with our office for current status. **While Salty Harbor has WiFi, it is not high-speed and not great for streaming/zoom meetings, etc. Seaside Vacations does not allow group rentals to guests under age 25. Therefore, online bookings for group rentals will not be honored.
