Description / The space Welcome to our home in Bordighera - on the Riviera dei Fiori (Riviera of Flowers). The 35m2 studio is on the second floor, just below the old clocktower which still indicates the start and end of every day life with a huge "bang". The apartment is completely renovated, has free WiFi ADSL internet, and offers a welcome home after a long day out exploring, or relaxing on the beach. The bright open plan living room and kitchen has all the features to make your stay enjoyable. In the living room area you find a double wall bed which folds away to open up more space. A dining table and four comfortable chairs where you can dine, relax with friends or get some work done. Besides standard Italian tv channels the wall mounted Smart TV allows you to stream anything in any language you prefer - it even offers the feature to "mirror" your mobile device so you can watch everything from your phone or tablet on the 40' big screen. A mist fan ensures you stay cool during those hot summer days. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, gas stove (hob), oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and good supply of crockery and cutlery. And, just because you're in Italy, a Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee machine so you can have the perfect start and finish to every day. A ladder-staircase leads to a loft platform with large bed above the kitchen offering additional sleeping arrangements. A good size bathroom with shower, hand basin, toilet and bidet. Here you also find a washer/dryer combo to ensure you don't have heaps of laundry after your stay. Make sure to try the outside washing line, below your window, to truly blend in with local tradition. The entrance hall has plenty of storage space for you luggage, cloaks and jackets so it's out the way after you unpack. Extra features include a hairdryer and steam iron and ironing board so you can look the part before you go out. Location The perfect location within very close walking distance to amenities such as a wide range of restaurants, bars and a convenience supermarket store - all almost on your doorstep. Right across the entrance to the apartment house you find the lively Bistro Pedro - very popular with locals. Close the soundproof windows if the hustle below gets too much, or swing the windows wide open and enjoy the sounds of everyday life in Old Town Bordighera. This is a complete traffic free zone and free parking is available at Piazza del Capo (100m / 1min walk). The walk to the centre of "new" Bordighera and the beach (700m / 10 min walk) is downhill, but be sure to take a bus or taxi for the steps back up when you return if you have difficulty walking uneven surfaces. Punto supermarket on the edge of old town is only 150m / 2 min walk from the apartment. The Carrefour Market (600m / 7 min walk) is a large supermarket which offers a great variety of more than only groceries and is open 24/7. The nearest bus stop is at Piazza de Amicis (250m / 3 min walk). Bordighera train station is 950m / 12 min walk from the apartment Bordighera is very close and between San Remo and Ventimiglia. Menton is only a few kilometres away. Monte Carlo, Monaco is 30km away. Nice international airport is only 50km away.
