Beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting
Cosy cottage
Built in the early 19th century, Church Mouse Cottage has all the charm and character you would expect from a Georgian property. This stylish cottage has been lovingly furnished and decorated to a high standard ensuring that this beautiful , comfortable haven is the perfect bolt hole. It’s location is a perfect blend of being tucked away in complete tranquility whilst still being just a five minute stroll from the thriving high street with its many shops, pubs and cafes. Henfield is a beautiful rural market town dating back as far as 770AD. There are endless walks right on it's doorstep which would suit both the leisurely and hardy walkers alike. The Downs Link offers a 37 mile stretch for walkers, cyclists and picnickers to enjoy. The river Adur runs through with its abundance of wildlife, including a seal which is regularly spotted and loved by the locals. The Downs Link, once a railway line, has become a green corridor for wildlife and people to enjoy. The lively town of Brighton and the historic market town of Horsham are both easily accessible by the regular bus service from the high street or a 20 minute drive. Gatwick is only a 20 minute drive away. The nearest rail link is Hassocks, 7.4 miles away with an hourly train to the heart of London should you want to do some serious shopping! Henfield is the perfect base for sporting and recreational facilities, with it's own leisure centre and tennis club, not to mention the numerous playing fields and parks as well as an indoor soft play for rainy days. Woodsmill nature reserve, which is just 1.8 miles away runs fun packed holiday clubs for children of all ages to learn about nature. Also close by you can find Wickwoods Country club, golf at Mannings Heath and Pycombe, show jumping at Hickstead, horse racing in Brighton, Plumpton and Goodwood. For the garden lovers, there's Nymans, St.Marys's house and gardens, Sussex Prairie gardens and Leonardslee lakes and gardens to name but a few. For the wine lovers, there's Bolney Wine Estate, just 7.4 miles away and Albourne Estate winery which is 4.4 miles away and can also be reached by foot walking through endless beautiful fields with some stunning views along the way ( I do recommend following an app such as 'All trails' for those new to the area.) Both vineyards host some great tours and events that I would recommend.
